Does anyone know the difference between a Redtop 34R 8003-151 and 34R 9003-151?? Amazon sells the 8003 for $13 cheaper than Summit which sells the 9003. Is it just a newer model? Worth the $13?
Do not get the R model. Pretty sure the terminal positions are reversed and you will have a helluva time getting the wires to stretch out and connect.

Yea I believe it is. I have no idea what battery I should get but the general consensus in this thread seems to be that 34R fits best?

Duralast Gold

Need a new batt for my 06 TL.

Seems Optima is pretty popular but I see Autozone has a Duralast Gold 24F-DLG for much less and a slightly better CCA&CA than the optima red top.

Anyone have any feedback on the Duralast batts?

I went the cheap route last year.. and it's been a champ since. Cold morning start ups are roaring compared to the whimper I had with the OE battery. AZ will give you a core deposit as well. Don't let them stick on the nickel & dime packets (actually $1/piece).. they add that to the bill without you knowing, they use the same tactic with brake pads. I believe the warranty on the DG batteries is better than optima as well and I only saw one on the crate of dozens in the core returns.

I love yellowtop Optimas though. In my retired accord I ran one flawlessly. If you have an aftermarket system I would suggest spending the extra dough, but if you don't or don't plan on adding anything, the DG yellowtop has treated me well.

Bringin this back to figure out if the Optima Red Top 34R fits with no issues. I have read through this thread, and some others. It seems there are mixed reviews. Thanks

The 34R didn't fit mine that well. I had to remove the battery tray in order to get it to fit properly. However, you can get the 35 and it shouldn't be an issue.

yellow is for cars with excessive power needs like a huge stereo system and lights ect.
The red top which is cheaper is all you need for a better battery used to have better stronger starting and life.
Thats what I have gathered from all my research on the diff. of the two.. my advice research first, that way you dont buy something you dont need and spend more money you dont have to.

I already have read, and made the decision to purchase the Red Top, just trying to figure out which model of the Red Top (34R or 35) will drop in with no issues.

I do not have a system, so no need for the yellow top.
