Type-S Front bumper vs stock

So I broke my bumper barely 2 months after i got my car (canadian -40C day)
So i though to replace it with a Type-S while i'm at it.

i tried looking around and couldnt find the difference between the stock on and the Type-S one... does anyone have a side by side comparison

tried using the search but ended empty handed

Also if you guys know where i could buy one or good aftermarket let me know!

Thanks,
MM

the only difference between the base bumper, which you have, and the type-s bumper is the fog light cutout.

+1

also the fog light grill on the type-s are honey comb as the base are horizontally vented and the type-s has a bit of a lip iirc.

If you search use goolge; much faster.

If you plan on doing a OEM body kit, decide which you like best first, base or type s, since they fit each bumper accordingly. To fit one on the others bumper requires a little tweaking and never fits nice and flush.

If that's serious question.. It's called the A-spec kit.

I'm typing this from my phone so I can't post any pics. But check out my last thread for pics that you're looking for. Don't get the front without the sides and back imo

if u go to the dealer make sure you TELL THEM YOU WANT THE TYPE S, if you have a base model tl and you give them the vin you will get the base model front bumper which as you see from the pics are edged differently on the fogs.

even then, check the bumper. i just picked up another type S bumper to replace my stock cracked one and they almost gave me the base model bumper by accident.

I do like the A-Spec one... I'm thinking of getting base + a-spec... since the type-s one would be much more expensive just for the fog cutt-off... not sure it worth it? I'll have too check out the price differences.

There's someone here with a really nice front i cant seem to find him... he has a custom painted dark grey i believe... and his sig is the front end shot... can anyone help me find him and confirm if he's a-spec?

Thanks a lot!
