Turn signal reset after replacing?

So both of my turn signals both only flashed when i used them with the turn signal lever, not when i locked the car nor when i unlocked my car or when i have my light switch on. So i burnt out my right blinker and went on to replace it and now that i replaced it, it flashes now when i lock it, unlock it, and turn my lights on its on constantly...now when i ride at night i have my right blinker on all the time and the left one off all the time. How can it back to having it off all the time other then when i need to use it as a blinker?

No, because I'm afraid it will be turned on permanently like the new light and I don't want that...

You must be new to the TL or don't understand how the turn signals work.

They are dual filament bulbs. They serve two purposes. Parking lights (When you flip your headlight switch forward one time from the OFF position or turn your headlights on completely)

When you have your headlights on both of your parking lights are supposed to be on constantly. When you hit your turn signal with your headlights on they will get brighter and dim, brighter and dim.

When your headlights are off and your parking lights are off than your turn signals will only blink when the signal is engaged and turn off completely when the signal is done.

Do you get what I'm saying? It's normal for it to be "constantly" on when your headlights are on.

Just replace your drivers side bulb and call it a day

I'm guessing you have an 07+ with the wing mirror signals?

I'm not new at all I've owned my tl for almost two years now and I honestly want it so the bulb I had to just replace didn't turn on because I just blacked out my headlights so it's kind of that dull yellow color going with the nice color of my headlights... So what you're saying is my driver side bulb is wrong for only working when I wanted to use it as a blinker? It's an 05 as well..

if you dont want the parking light park to come on, just cut the wire or get a single filament bulb. conversely you can also get switchbacks that light up white but blinks amber. up to you
