trunk not working???

trunk not working???

okay so my trunk will only open from the key when its not in the ignition. it doesnt work at all from the button in the car. is this normal for a TL? anybody know how to fix this?

There is a switch inside the glove box which prevents the trunk from opening when you press the dash-button. It serves as a "valet" feature to lock out the trunk, and then you can lock the glovebox with your key. When you open up the glove box, look on the left side - the switch should be there.

A security switch inside the glove box (inaccessible with the valet key) deactivates the lower-dash trunk release button.
