TLs are like a dime a dozen..

I drive from Princeton to Edison, NJ everyday and its crazy as to how many TLs I see out on the road. In the parking lot alone stand 3 TLs all Navi-filled (WDP, Anthracite, and Red).

How often is the presence of a TL seen in your areas of residence or work..?

There are three TL's in my parking garage downtown (WDP, NBP, and Anthracite), but then again there are also 3 ferraris, so I guess that doesn't say much. I've noticed that TL's seem a lot more common here in Houston than in Dallas FWIW.

I have seen maybe five in the Northern California. It's crazy because every dealer tells me there is a 8-10 week waiting list for them.

Just got back from a trip to Victoria and Vancouver. They have a lot of TLs there too. I did find an Acura 1.6 EL which is not released here in the US. The 1.6 EL is a bit plain looking. It is about the same size as the Integra but the Integra is better looking.

The 1.6 EL is a luxurified Honda Civic. That's why it isn't in the U.S., no one would buy it.

I'm seeing TLs on a daily basis here. While I was having my suspension upgraded 10 days ago, I talked to my salesman. He told me, "go look at our inventory, it's out front". He had only three cars left. Including the test driver. Incredible.

1.7EL's are a dime a dozen up here. The interior doesn't look bad and I had to justify one TL or two EL's. I think I have the only Desert Mist in Canada and have seen only 3 others on the road since October.

I'm now seeing 1-2 per day here in suburban DC/Northern VA. That's not counting the 1-2 I see every day in the parking lot at work.

Like in LA, BMWs here are a dime a dozen.

I live in a small town near Gettysburg and haven't seen a one yet. Now if you count Honda Civcs, I see 1000 a day - well, there'll be at least one '04 TL in Chambersburg after Tuesday.

I live on Long Island and work in lower Manhattan.

I've seen maybe a dozen TLs in the wild. I've only seen one ABP car, and coincidentally it was as I was driving to the dealership to place my order.

I didn't buy the car for "exclusivity", but it looks like there will be some. I had that "luxury" when I bought my Solara, as I was probably one of the first in New York State to have one on the road. I took delivery about a week before the car officially went on sale, and it was a few months before I started seeing them with any frequency. I fielded a LOT of questions during that first few months because the Solara is a very attractive car and mine stood out because of its screaming red color.

Regards,

I see a few every day. I would kinda like them 2 stay rare, but I bought it knowing it wouldn't. I like having a 2000 S2000 and still getting stares at a 4 year old car because most people don't recognize it.

TL's out there

I haven't seen one TL in the Detroit area besides my own. Mostly Detroit iron at least
on the east side of town. Lots of folks here work for the big 3, VW of America,et and get
unbelievable deals on their cars.
Lots of GP's, et

Don't see many ogling my TL either, except the occasional Honda owner.
Craig.

I see maybe 2-3 a week, if I am lucky. Not all that common on the western half of Detroit and it's surrounds.

Ironically I am now seeing tons of 2nd gen TL's only after I got rid of mine to get an 04. Contrary I have only seen a few 04's.

I live in and around a faily affluent set of suburbs of chicago, and TLs are ALSO a dime a dozen, as are '00-03 TL's, and TL Type S's....

However, I'll tell you which cars are NOT a dime a dozen, and I'm sure this has to do w/ their looks:

1) the New Maxima
2) the New ES330, and the reshaped ES300

G35's (sedans and coupes) are a nickel a dozen, as are Altima 2.5S's.... wow!

But, I have yet to see another A-spec TL on the road! That's why I love the distinction A-spec does for your TL

TL's are not a common sight at all here in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area. Seems like lots more 3-series and S60's float around than anything else. I parked nose-to-nose with a nice-looking Anthracite/Navi at the mall this week.......as luck would have it we both were exiting the mall at the same time and complimented each other's good taste in automobiles!

3-series and pre-04 5-series are a penny a dozen... if you didn't know you were in a chicago suburb, you'd think these cars were inexpensive!

Here in Pittsburgh they don't seem that common. I think I've only seen about 5 on the road.
I know they are selling very well, so they must be somewhere.

I currently own the only TL at my workplace.

I've seen maybe 5 different TLs. On the other hand, I've seen at least 30 differnt G35s.

Heck, I stare at old S2000's even though I recognize them just because I know what they can do. That is one fun car.

I've noted an increase lately in the number on the road here on the Westside of LA.
On my daily drive to work I see 2 or three going in the other direction over a mountain road.
I'd guess there may be 10 of us using this route everyday.
I recently attended an Acura research meeting here and pulled up to the building to find no less than 5 '04TL's parked side by side. I pulled right up and then there were 6. T

Since I first decided to get one last December I've seen only about 6. That's really strange because I'm on major highways on the weekends. If they've sold about 60,000 or so, where are they all?

I'm starting to see more, I went to HP the other day and I saw 4 of them almost next to each other!
I guess hi-tech people know about it and rush to order.

I wouldn't worry about it...
How many BMW 325 do you see on the road ? (that's too many to me)

I live in Boca Raton Florida and am starting to see them every time I drive. I saw only two a-specs though. The funny thing is every time I see them I am in my other car and not my TL. I have noticed most of the drivers are much older then me though. Say 50's to 70's. Could also be because I live in Florida, capital for the retired. But, Im glad to see the car is selling so well. Acura is on a come back finally. Can't wait for October when the new RL debuts and hopefully next year they will throw the all wheel drive in the TL. What about a new coupe Acura, ill keep my fingers crossed for that as well.

Current model TL's are rare in VEgas - I've seen maybe 4 in the last 3 weeks (and I'm looking!). Last time I was at the dealer (about a month) they had 7-8 on the lot. Still haven't seen an A-spec in the flesh, but they may not sell well here because of the tyres - lethal on wet roads out here! Older TLs are more common.

Lots of Beemers, Mercs, Lexus & Caddies around. Plus lots of big SUVs and trucks. And the occasional Bentley/Rolls/Aston Martin/Ferrari/Lambourghini :P

There are 3 just in my townhome community and I see a few on the highways around DC. Don't care - having a blast driving it regardless of how many people own the same model.

I would second this in Orange County, California, as well. Got my TL about 1.5 weeks ago and for several weeks before that when I was considering the TL, I saw maybe one every several days. Then, yesterday, I saw seven of them in one day! People know a good thing when they see them. Also, G35s are everywhere here...

I also live in los angeles, and I can go 2-5 days without seeing another TL on the road. When I do run in to them in the parking lots, noone has NAVI.... What is up with that ...
