Tint Grade for NBP on Ebony
Tint Grade for NBP on Ebony
I have seen this in the formums of most people using 35% all around on the NBP on Ebony. Is it too light? Would you go darker? What do you guys recommend.
Thanks
Thanks
It's a matter of personal choice when it comes to tinting. Your interior is dark to begin with and the windows are already factory tinted to a degree (about 75%). With 20 (rear) and 35 around, it will make it look darker than it appears and very subtle IMO. On the other side of the coin, some just like it plain dark 5%. Check out gochan's TL with 35% around.
I found 35% to be a bit too light for my tastes. I opted for 20% all the way around and am happy with the results. I have zero issues with night visibility, and it is plenty dark during the day. Another side note is that the moonroof is very handy for situations where you are driving next to cops, as you simply slide the visor back and WHOILA there is improved visibility into the car.
i've got my tint on my NBP as follows: rear window 5%, sides 20%, and front windshield 50%.
i'm having the front re-done slightly darker, 40%? is it exist because my windshield is cracked and i need to replace it anyway.

I've got 50% on every window. I don't like the look of dark rear and light front windows, and I really don't like being hasseled by cops.
So far, I haven't even gotten a second look from any cops (I don't have a front plate, either) and am pleased with my windows. I got the windows tinted for the UV protection more than for the "cool" factor.
I've driven a car with 20% on the rear windows and I couldn't see out of the back at night while backing up - not cool in tight parallel parking.
As always, go with what you want and with what you can get away with. I'd highly suggest actually seeing in person someone else's car rather than just pictures. Pictures have a tendancy to lie.

I've got RRP w/ 20% all the way around .. To MasterShake's point, no probs with the cops, no prob w/ night visibility EXCEPT when backing down my driveway (but that's a whole different post)

Nice car.
When I said I have 50% all around I meant ALL AROUND. Every window is tinted - back, rear, sides, windsheild, and even the sunroof.
Brewmaster, is your windsheild tinted 20% too? If so....you're a maniac
. If I had 20% on my windsheild, you'd better believe that the cops would start to notice me - and not because my car is so pretty.

The sunroof is a better idea though
My favorite tint job would be a 20 percent on every window except a 50 or 75 on the windshield. Nothing on the sunroof. I dont like when the front and back doors have differen tints... but on the windshield I dont think people would think too much cuz no one expects windshileds to be tinted and cars look fine with every window tinted but that.. so a different tint wouldn't look bad at all.
