Thanks from a new owner...

Well, I finally bit and bought an '04 TL last Thursday, in large part due to the very helpful folks and information on this forum. I look forward to being able to contribute in the future.

Also, I'm curious...the car I was driving before was a Tercel DX: no power steering, no thing, and only 95 HP. Now I have an Anthracite/ebony 6MT w/NAVI. I cannot explain it entirely...it's like an alternate universe!

It seems like I see a lot more cops about too...I wonder why?

Thanks again!

Welcome to the club! Just wait until the blast you get when you realize you've just transitioned from 95 horses than drink regular gas to 270 horses that need premium! Just kidding, and enjoy the ride. Viva la 6MT !

Yeah, I've already had a fill-up. Yikes!

But...I knew that was part of the deal. The increase in the pride of my ride is more than worth it's price in gas!

That's funny. I stepped up to the 04TL 5AT with NAVI from a 1996 Honda Civic - which gladly took 140K miles before I sold it for $2,200. So, I know exactly what you mean about an alternate universe. I feel the same way.

Tercel to TL . . .

I think that's the biggest step up I've seen yet! Congratulations.

What's a Tercel? Just kidding. Congratulations on your quantum leap, you will enjoy the car.

I figured it had to be one of the biggest leaps.

I remember a time, whild driving in San Francisco, where I went into a panic when I almost didn't get up a hill on Divisidero. That was a truly frightening experience.

Not any longer...

I just dropped a deposit for the same combo ( Anthracite/ebony 6MT w/NAVI). Great choice. I am leaving behind a dodge PU for this beauty. Should get it in a month or so.

Congrats!

That's a quantum leap! Congratulations. Great choice, btw. Alternate universe for me, too (96 Contour, 4 cyl.).
