SHIT, man!! THAT IS SOME SICK SHIT!

Hahha, nice work! I'm loving it.
I'm thinking of smoking my tails, but I'm not an expert at that stuff, and I'm not sure how someone blacks out their tails, do they tint the lens or what?

Here's a rough idea how they would look on a NBP.
I was bored, so I used my car and tried it out.

must've been nice for you to drive a 07 TLS while you're only 18.
are you going to do the taillight like that in the future?

Yes, guys. It's photoshopped, sorry if there was any misunderstandings!
I was seeing if it would look nice.

I'm sure I'm not the only one. I never stated that I am either. :P

Weird looks? Where do you live? I've only had people walk past my car or drive past, or stopped beside at red light, and they keep looking at my car (ex. stare down on the rims or something). Hahaha.

My other car is a 2006 Impreza STI, and I've had tons of weird looks when I'm in that car, especially when my BOV goes off, and my exhaust is loud as hell!

There was a funny moment too, I remember I went into a resturaunt to buy take outs, cuz I was gonna go chill at a friend's. After I got my food, as I walked out, I saw 2-3 teenagers, at my age, and one looked like he was 16, they were all taking pictures of my car with their camera phones. Hahaha, and as I was walking towards my car, they still didn't know what was happening, until I opened my door, and they had this embarrassed look on their face and they walked away. I just shouted to them "Remember to blur that plate with photoshop!"

P.S - Sorry to OP for hi-jacking your thread.
But I'm done now, hahaha.

haha no im not saying you implied that you were the only one, just stating a fact that i am too

Also in regards to staying on topic, is it possible to bake these to open them up rather than use a dremel?

I was thinking too, cuz cutting it is too much of a risk for me.

I'm chicken to cut open lights, esp when there are wires in them.

Another guy made a DIY (click here). I pretty much did the same thing, but I painted the frame dark gray and smoked the clear reflectors with tint spray.

this is the exact mod i planned on doing, looks like I won't be the first to do them in smoky clear. I want good pics of the car in good light from a decent distance back, you've done an incredible job with this mod but taken so-so pics, give us justice!!!

For an update, I have had them on for nine months now and haven't had any problems with cops for not having a red reflector (knock on wood). I still get comments on them all the time, especially when I bring it to the dealership. The only time I get condensation is when its very cold and wet out, and even then its just minor. It goes through car washes no problem.

Sorry, I still don't have enough time to make any sets for other members, but the DIY is great and I'll try to answer any questions if others want to give it a try. Hopefully I'll finish the car off with wheels and a drop this summer.

Looks sick!! We aren't going to get pulled over by cops because everythign is still legal... I keep thinking of the RX330 cuz they are the same. Just a question, did you do Red Turn Signals or go Amber?

I went Amber because I thought it would look more OEM, but just wanted to see what you did.
