superbrightleds durability issue

I bought 4 of the 12 cluster LEDs last Oct. for my footwell lights. Well all of them have partially gone bad. By partially, I mean that 4 to 5 of the leds in the cluster are dead. I noticed it started to flicker a bit, then when I took a peek at them, that was when I noticed the LEDs were starting to get bad. They will take them back for an exchange with the receipt. It is just a hassle. I am also surprised that they are going bad this early in the game. LEDs normally last a long time.

I had the same problem, but only with the white LED-6. Superbrightleds said they had a problem with an old batch and mailed me all new ones free of charge. No problems since.

I do not have any issues with W6s I have, only the larger 12 LED cluster that I use for the footwell lights.

Same here, I got them and installed them last week. Very easy, pocket knife and 10 mins. Only tough part was getting the factory lights out, without breaking them, buggers were really stuck in there.

it took me a half hour to take out the first light but then i figured a flat head screw driver was the best way to go and then i did it all in 15 minutes...
