You can go to court and plead guilty with no points, which will amend the points right off your ticket. However, you will need to pay a heavy fine , somewhere about $800. All police and the court want is OUR MONEY...
I have a bit of a luck being a gal.
Good luck, and make sure you get a good lawyer, it helps

Didn't you get the notice to prohibit before the suspended you from driving? because I did get the notice to prohibit before. Then I wrote a letter saying that why they shouldn prohibit me from driving. The result was they decided nt to prohibit me from driving

I've gotten 2 tickets in my life (Ones in western mass, once on the upper-westside of manhattan). Both times I admitted to wrongdoing and the judge ruled in my favor. Interesting how things work. Also both times I claimed to accidently break the driving laws and said "this is my first ticket"....
Which is great to use and next time I get a speeding ticket I'll use it again "This is my first ticket in __ years of driving and I must've lost sight of my speed".

Speeding on the belt parkway. not very smart. too many places for cops to hide and wait for you to speed by. it mustve been late a night or something because of the traffic unless you got nailed in that long stretch of straightway between the bridge and the gawannis. dont think there is anything you can do except to admit you mistake and beg the judge. good luck.

There is this lawyer I know that is ok I guess. I dont have much experience with them but you might want to give them a call or go in and see them. They will try to reduce it if they can. I dont know what they can do for you though.

Got a ticket for doing 81 in a 55 on the NYS Thruway just after the TZ Bridge. The trooper was a real ball buster, dismissed my PBA cards, which is fine, but his attitude was just harsh to say the least. He dropped it to 75 in a 55 which would have been 4 points. I went to court, as everyone should do, the trooper didn't show up, another one did in his spot, he dropped it to a lesser charge, no points and $95.00 fine. As a previous poster said, all they want is your money. I got lucky, no points equals no insurance increase. Definitely go to court, but that is a good amount of miles over the speed limit. Good luck

For the record, be careful on the Belt Parkway. Just as BxScig said, I see cops hiding in a lot of spots that I wouldn't have thought imaginable, like going Eastbound by 9B, there is a huge bush in the grass that I saw a trooper sitting there the other day. Crazy stuff, I think they are finally realizing our tendencies!
Sorry about the ticket man. It happens to the best of us.

I must say that NYC have been cracking down, I think mostly for money and a lawyer will cost a good deal of money already. Now you know why they say the Valentine1 pays for itself in no time.

Keep Right Except to Pass
Speeding on the Belt Parkway is one thing, I've done it many a time, but 98 mph? That's just crazy, at least on the part I've travelled most often (4th Avenue to Flatbush Avenue--my relatives lived in Bay Ridge and have a house at Breezy Point).

Do not do the crime if you cannot do the time.... Plain and simple. I am sure you were not leisurely driving and said opps i was used to doing 75 and now the speed limit dropped a bit I should slow down... If you have to pay it maybe you will learn to drive better... Doing basically a buck and you are going a little fast... If you are used to doing that all the time, it is time to get a corolla
