Okay so i got a great quote for some vinyl work on my WDP tls. i want to do it in the spring, here what im gonna do

very lightly tinted tailights (so that the red is more of a wine red rather than a blood red)
black roof
black hood
something with the grille ith possibly white/black or just black

btw this guy said he would do everything for $120 (labor + materials included1!), i am sure of his quality as many locals have had great experiences

heres where i need opinions: im definitely doing a glossblack roof, i have not decided what shape i am gonna do for the hood and what color scheme to do with the grille to make it look good

for the hood, i was thinking either wrap the entire hood in vinyl, OR just a middle section so that it kinda fits flush with the V of the grille, if you no what i mean

with this in mind, i have not decided how i should do my grille, i was thinking either:
fullout glossblack on everything
OR colormatched white hood trim and V black on the insid

any opinions?

 

One suggestion for the hood is like this .. I have been trying to get something set up so we can buy these but haven't had a lot of luck .. 2 different suppliers were all gung ho to start now both have stalled.



Maybe your guy would be interested in selling something like this .

$120 for all that? Holy shit! I got a quote for over $400 just to do the roof on my Accord. I said no thanks. Fuck you very much, is what I was thinking lol.

 

I got quoted 200$ but with 2 pieces of vinyl. I didn't want that and I told the guy to do 1 whole piece. He said he'd find a piece and he never called me again. I thought 200$ was lots but I was gonna pay, he missed out

 

yup, this guy owns a small, private vinyl design business, everyone who dealt with him give him really good reviews, or price, quality, service, etc.

my spring break is in 2 weeks, i might get the overlays done by then, ill post some pics, and ill talk to him about being a vinyl vendor or something on here

 

and i need some more opinions more on the combo altogether, particularly the hood and grille combo, need it to look flush

 

Dude! Where are you located? I'm in need of a professional service to do vinyling and the part of the car that I wanna vinyl is probably the most difficult out of the entire car.... I attempted and i semi-failed.

I'm in NY.

 

ur outta luck for the install, live in st louis. there seems to be lots of good shops around here, i just foudn another shop that offered to do all this for 105
