Round plastic piece on front bumper

Hey all,

Can you guys tell me what that little round plastic insert piece is for, and why it's there?

If you look here you can see it on the passengers side right below the headlight..
Hmmmm...

And if you look here: OWNER'S MANUAL, PAGE 251 you will see a picture, which is worth a thousand words, and less than a thousand words of descriptive text.

Short answer: It's for the tow hook.

You remove it to attach an eyebolt to attach a cable to pull your car up on to a tow truck. RTFM

Is is a big ass manual, and even if you read every page, and everything in every page, it would be hard to remember everything.

I absolutely do not intend to be critical when I reference the manual. The reason I do it is so you, and others who may read this thread, will have a reference where they can quickly find the correct information.

There are times when I feel that someone should have read the manual. When this is the case, I make that point quite clear.

I guess I should start each valid manual reference with a disclaimer: THIS IS NOT A CRITICISM. Anybody got any better ideas? Im open to suggestions (politely, of course).

In most forums I read if you just Bold the text VS. BOLD AND CAP THE TEXT if looks less agressive. Some people see CAPS as shouting.

Ron,
Im sure most people appreciate it when you give them a reference. Makes it easier for them to read up on it. I sure would.

But what if I WANT TO BE AGGRESSIVE?

Thanks for the positive words. I know that most people appreciate it, screaming included, but I also wanted to emphasize, as I said, that it was not a criticism, but a point of reference.

I am an heir to a Multi-Million dollar company, and currently working in that company as a senior level executive. I believe this topic has also been brought up before.

Thanks again!

These cars are your family's rides or all your personal ones? Maybe I'm wrong, sorry. Perhaps, I should list all my parents' vehicles, too.

There was a young kid from Florida??, whose parents run the national wide/big travel agency, he is another super heir with 04TL, too...

Back to the topic, Steve is a decent guy, he doesn't yell at us and saying WTF... I do appreciate Ron A provides not only RTFM info but also the specific page #. This make sense and easy for those i-guys. I guess I'm gonig to create another list for those important/have-to-read items/info from the owner manual, and put them into Garage. Ha.........

You got me their rets the SC430 is for my sister it is currently on order, that is the only car that is not my personal vehicle. 5 out of 6 is still pretty good. Never been to Florida, but, Ali Enterprises does hold interest in couple of travel agencies but it is not named nationwide and is only located in Kansas area. The vehicles are all titled to Ali Enterprises, due to tax and insurance related savings.

If you guys are trying to see how far off the subject you can get, you're not doing very well.

(sounds like something a PW would say)
