Recommended Maintenance at 186k

I've neglected this car for the past few years and want to get this car running proper again. Other than oil changes at the local Acura dealer, I really haven't done much to the car.

Here is a quick run down of the car's history since ownership:

- I bought this car in May 2015 from a private dealer that I later learned ripped me off badly.
- A week later, I had the transmission fluid changed at the local Honda dealer.
- Front pads changed at 122K
- Spark plugs replaced at 128K
- AEM V2 Intake installed some time after spark plugs (I forgot to document that. Not sure if it really matters)
- TB/WP/Tensioner replaced at 140K
- Alternator replaced at 140K

Now for the known bad:

- Motor mounts ( A local shop that does my yearly inspections showed me how bad they were. He put the car in drive, hand brake up and foot on the brake and mashed the gas. The one side of the engine nearly lifted a good 2-3 inches
- Power steering pump whines ( Mechanic said he noticed fluid leaking near the pump )
- Heat shield rattle
- Tighten fuel cap message
- Mysterious battery drain - HFL was disconnected back in 2017. This started back in Feb 2020 and I stopped driving it regularly. Pulled fuse 7 under the dash and battery drain stopped

There are probably more minor issues that don't render the car useless but are just annoying like buttons around the navigation screen (Cancel) don't work, lights behind buttons burned out, passenger seat heater stopped working.

What are some of the recommended maintenance that I should tackle to get this car road worthy again? I regret not giving this car much love as it was my dream car when it came out in 2007. Having a wife and 2 children (1 and 2), I don't want to put their lives at risk because of my ignorance.

A quick and easy fix is for the center console armrest. It's not supposed to be hard, it's supposed to be cushioned. If you buy a nice 2 inch thick foam square from a fabric store you can restore the armrest back to it's former glory. Maybe costs $10 for the foam and glue.

Another common issue is fixing the tramlining that is common by replacing the lower control arm bushings. then get an alignment and it will steer a lot better. I don't remember how much it cost, but I wanna say around $400

If your headliner is sagging or nasty, get it replaced with a nice black or dark charcoal color. Mine was around $300

If your shift knob is getting worn down, get a nice replacement one. Same for steering wheel, but that is more expensive

Thank you. I wanted to tackle the arm rest later on. Cosmetic stuff is last on my list. I need to get the car painted. Pictures make it look nice but it's a dumpster fire in person.

you can rebuild the PS pump at home with a $20 gates kit. Ever change/check the brake fluid? Should be changed every 2-3 years to avoid brake issues.

Brudda, if you're going to do your mounts I'm in a position to save you a few dollars. This is my post in the marketplace:

Thanks. I'll probably get one next year. Might look for an XLR8 setup.

if you look at my MRP progress thread, you will find the 90% common item that all 3G TL needed to be done. I also had before and after picture as well.
