Rear Console Stopper Wire Hole?

Hey guys,

Just switched from a 2005 Accord EX-V6 AT to a 2005 TL 6MT and I'm loving it, but it seems to me that there are some small things the Accord has that my TL doesn't, and makes me want for something more.

One of these things is the little stopper plate within the armrest console (behind the shifter). In my Accord, I could pull a charging wire through the console through a hole, but I can't seem to find that in my TL. Am I blind and missing something here, or are there parts we can get to change it? Or do I just have to dremel out a small opening?

You'll have to dremel your own. I believe the 07-08 came with cutouts so you can run wires thru it. My 08 has them

07-08 has the cut out since they design with aux port. Earlier model do not have aux port which explained why the slot isn't there.

On my 06 I just ran the wire up through the gap at the side of the lower bin, into the upper bin. Once in the upper bin I believe there's a molded slot on top of the bin, so the armrest cover still shuts fine. I may have notched the upper bin "flange" slightly to accommodate the wire, but I can't really check since my car's in the shop with a dead tranny.

Check the little slot at the bottom right.

You can bring something from the bottom to the top bin that way, and if you'd like to bring it outside near the cup holder I imagine a little hole would work.

I think only 07 and 08 had that slot because earlier years didn't have the aux plugin in the console. OP has an 05.

All 3rd gen TLs have that slot from the lower compartment to the upper compartment.

To get a slot from the upper compartment to the outside, you need to dremel a slot.
I had a picture on imageshack of when I did it a few years ago. Imageshack has been deleting random pictures, though.

Without looking, since I sold my TL yesterday, I think my 08 had a little slot at the front for cables...I had two running out through it.

2006+ TL got another channel at the front of that felt compartment so you can route the cables completely out of that bin.
