That type of grill is VERY cheap. If you like the look, go for it.

Plus, the black paint on that grill will flake off and fade over time, it's just really cheap stuff.

It is VERY cheap mesh you can find at any hardware store & you can cut it with scissors to fit yourself. IF you want to put that "stuff" on your car, go buy it and paint it yourself for a total cost of $5.

That way, when you see how cheap & crappy it looks, you will only be out $5 when you remove it.

Well people in DIY threads are suggesting using gutter guard mesh. The closeup pic does look cheaper quality to that I think but isn't gutter mesh pretty cheap stuff anyways? There is a huge improvement in meshing the grilles in my opinion from those pics I've seen. I'm just looking for the best way to do it.

I thought maybe this kit maybe easier, a lot of people were asking for readymade kits, and this includes the grille too. I'm just wondering if this is framed somehow or snap-in/screw-in since this is being sold by a grille company, not just someone in a private garage. If it's just a mesh grille cut to size of course it's cheaper and smarter to do it yourself. It says "hardware included". I'm not comfy that it says "chrome-like" material....That sounds more like "rust-like-in-2yrs" material. I think some kind of wide plastic mesh like the ones on 07s would work best. Is gutter guard plastic?

I wonder if anyone bought the Ebay set and tried it though.

I speak fomr PAINFUL experience on this. I ordered this stuff for my last car. the "mounting hardware" is several zip ties, or twisters. it is simply the cheap mesh, painted & cut. there is no framing & the fit is by no means "precise".

PLEASE save your money and do it yourself if you want it.
