i wouldnt buy a no-name brand hid lightbulb, just saying...

quality can vary in a no-name brand bulb.
you could get luck and it be very high quality, or.....

 

Any suggestions? What kind of money am I expected to spend on a brand bulb?

morimoto costs $45/pair. They are a reputable aftermarket brand bulb with 2 year warranty. I got a free replacement recently and the process to get it was very simple and headache free.

+2 on TRS. mtec also makes good bulbs.
