Problems with DVD-A disks?

Over the past week, I have purchased 5 DVD-A disks. Two keep getting rejected from the player. That is, when I load them, the player spits them back out after a few seconds and the audio switches to radio. I suspect that this is not an Acura audio problem, but perhaps rather a DVD-A disk problem. Curiously, I had a loaner car from the dealer earlier in the week and the same disks were rejected in that car. Yet, it seems quite surprising that two of five new disks would be defective. I am wondering if DVD-A disks are just much more touchy and more prone to problems.
Has anyone experienced a similiar problem?

All seven of my DVD-A's load and play fine. Any chance the two it rejects aren't really DVD-A's? (Maybe DVD-V's or SACD's?)

I only have one DVD-A disc plus the demo. When I first loaded it, the audio system spit it out. Tried again and it was fine. Last night I moved it from "3" to "1" and had the same thing happen again, e.g. it loaded fine the second try.

No problems with >10 DVD-A's so far.

I have had a problem with a DTS 5.1 Music Disc (a CD, not a DVD-A) that DTS Entertainment is swapping for me.

I have 20 DVD-audio disks so far and no rejections.

I suggest you take those disks to a electronics store that sells dvd-audio systems and try them out there. That way you can see if the problem is with the disks alone or a combination of the TL ELS system and the disks.

Should DTS discs potentially pose more of a problem than a DVD-A disc?

My 6 DVD-A discs all work fine in the car.

I have one DVD-A disc that I thought was defective. Its a Telarc classical, Dvorak -Symphony No.9 ( When I put it in the DVD player (tried 3 different players), nothing happens. In order to get it to work I have to hit the top menu button and proceed. Unfortunately I don't know if will work in my car, since I don't have my car. One of the first things I am going to try.

Problem with DTS 5.1

I bought the Police and Sting on DTS .... both are causing loud pops through the speakers.... no problem with any DVD-A so far... I am going to bring the others back to Best Buy.... I dought it is the DVD's... anybody else try the DTS. They are recognized ny the system as DTS and sound good in between loud pops.

I have had that happen on one too. I e-mailed DTS Entertainment, and they told me that they knew of no problems with the player in the TL.

I'm going to try writing a copy of the DTS CD out to CD-R using a low write speed, and see if that helps.

Yes buy.com has a pretty big selection and I found some coupons for music at Buy.com here if anyone is wanting to save a buck or two.
