In need of a complete engine and trans with low miles for my 1999 TL

so far i found one but its from a 2004 tl model. comes with complete engine ad trans still intact.

Will it fit in my 1999 tl model?

or will i have to modify the engine mounts and etc. how $much$ more will it cost for mods?

guessing you only need the factory brembo calipers? they are not cheap...

it will be a straight retrofit... the roof spoiler in all likelyhood fits, but the trunk lip spoiler, not a direct fit

 

if you swap out the entire seats and have access to a welder for custom brackets... and also someone who is nice with wiring, it will fit no problem, there is no guarantee that they width will clear the door pillar and center console but it looks like it will.... also ther eis no guarantee the seats will operate the same if at all, and also whoever wires it up for you will have to take the precautionary measures because they risk getting hurt via the side bolster air bag

 

here is the deal, since there are now some aftermarket motor mounts available for the 3rd gen tl... the swap will now be slightly simple since the innovative mounts are less bulky

that is not to say that the job is simple... and also that it wont require experienced customization, you also have to factor in which ecu you will run and if you will require a custom tune (via greddy emenange)...

yes, but the turn signal bulbs are different so you will have to mod the connection

 

well you can try but there is no guarantee that the lenses wont warp...

 

do it the easy way, get some red clear plastic sheets, like the one's on 3d glasses, and place them behind the buttons... the accord guys have had alot of success using the simple clear film over led's method... good luck

well my main problem is w/e lights they are using behind the console, is creating an uneven brightness. so i figured they were using regular bulbs, in which case i'd swap em all out for LEDs.

i hear u...is there any good bulbs i can get that would give me a deep yellow look? someone told me to spray clear coat on da plastic lense and that might help wat do you think about that???

if you aren't lowered it will fit but it will be waaaay passed the fender and look retarted for the fronts... no way it would fit at all

 

doesn't the 04 have some controls on the dash near the gauges...

if the offset is between +35 and +45... you will not have to roll your fenders or any other modifications needed

 

you might one to get together with an 04-06 tl who wants red... pretty sure you'd find someone quick... aside from that I will tell you that buy inserting blue clear plastic film... the lights won't be red, as red + blue make what brown

 

I need your help stillhere153...

I sold an extra headlight I had sitting around.... The guy, after receiving it, e-mail's me saying that he needs a copy of title or regestration of the TL's headlight. He continues to say that he needs prof for the state patrol inspection..... My question is, is there such a thing for the headlight? Or is this guy trying to do something else? He lives in Washington, if that helps

 

fax him a copy of the registration... he wont be able to do anything with it, no worries, in NYC we display our registration on our windows...

but I find it slightly retarted since I don't believe headlights have vin #'s on them
