sorry dude, the other guys posts again cluttered the thread...

call tim... he should be able to get you a price on one painted the Anth Met... he has an inhouse body shop, they do great work... couple members have left great reviews on his paint matching ability

as far as a price... that is something you have to discuss with him... figure $260 for the lip plus paint and you might be able to work out a shipped price for a reasonable amount...

Item you would like fitment verified: regarding any BBK kit for the TSX, is it any A/T and M/T bbk and where is a good place to look for these

the vendors here are authorized dealers for many of the bbk kits available... the auto and 6speed kit is the same part numbers from what I was able to pull up so I guess you leave out the adapter

same kit for the 7th gen accord...

very funny you asked... here is the deal... when you remove ur automatic shift knob you have to find out what the thread pitch is... there are 2 possible one's, eric didnt remember which one he purchased... he is the only other guy I know who swapped a 6speed shift knob on an auto...

for the shift boot... get in touch with tim... cuz the acura estore shows the following

BOOT, PANEL *NH167L* $75.13 Dealer Price... price is a little high if you ask me

sorry forgot to answer this question, I don't see why not.. but you might have to swap out the entire thing... it would be simpler to just get a cheap $50 256gb or 512mb mp3 player and get one of those units sold by the vendors so you can plug it right in...

yah but then you have all those wires around where u have to plug in the mp3 player.. i want a headunit that plays mp3s on a disc..

so can you find out if they are compatible?

I also want to know if the non navi screens from an 07+ will work on an 04. Because they have the blue screen..

(if I go to the junkyard and find a newer TL i just want to make sure all this stuff works before buying it)

I've seen the accord guys put a blue film behind the display to change the color of the numbers without having to change the bulbs or the display unit

As for the radio unit, the parts numbers on the actual units are almost Identical... and all of the other parts are identical

Trim- TL Type S 5AT
Item needed to be verified for fitment- So I was talking to some members about a torque converter for my car but could not find one for this car specifically. So if its possible, can you tell me which is the best for my car and also post a link for the place to purchase it from? I just want to try to close the gap between the auto and manual TL in a drag race from a dead stop. Thanks again.

questions like this is precisely why I started this thread so you wouldn't go and create one for something soooo simple

17x8 +45
Tires You Can Run
225/45-17 Diameter Difference: 1.39% (1.4% too fast on the speedometer)
235/45-17 Diameter Difference: 0% (OEM SPECIFICATIONS)
245/45-17 Diameter Difference: 1.41% (1.419% too slow on the speedometer)
255/45-17 Diameter Difference: 2.73% (2.803% too slow on the speedometer)
265/45-17 Diameter Difference: .08% (0.073% too slow on the speedometer)

Hey I gotta quick question for ya. I'm pretty sure the Chrome "V" trim on the grill of the 07/08 won't fit an 04-06 correct? My question is what are my options for finding an 04-06 V-trim that is chrome. I don't wanna spend the $200 to have mine chrome plated. Do you know of any website or vendor who sells one that would fit. If you check out rockauto.com they list the trim for $20 and the picture shows a chrome molding but im hesitant to try it as that is probably a stock photo and not what I may actually receive.

how bout you get real creative with a bottle of krylon metallic paint... it is the cheapest alternative and looks damn near identical if you know how to paint...

not if done correctly... they have paint for exterior use... but that was an easy 5 dollar fix...
if you sand it down and use bulldog adhesive promoter with some other metallic paint... ie... from a reputable auto paint supplier it will be fine, clear coats are the big thing...

Idk, I would rather get it actually dipped in chrome, the metallic/reflective paints are almost always thin and crispy. I wouldn't trust it.

I have the stock 17s right now with super crappy Sunny tires. I'm getting annoyed by how noisy they are so I want to get new tires. However, I'm also planning on getting new rims (RonJon Legend GTs 18" 45mm offset). Is there a good all season tire out there that I will be able to use on both sets of wheels?

Item you would like fitment verified: 07-08 OEM MP3 cd player for my 05

Ok so I know you have already touched on the subject, but I just want a complete verification because my car has navi, which works in conjunction with the factory radio. Would it still work if, for example, I purchased an 07-08 OEM MP3 player off ebay or something/somewhere and replaced the original unit and mated the new one to my navi unit? Obviously with my car being an 05 and the MP3 players not being introduced until 07-08, this would seemingly present a problem.

well you can't run the same tires on 17s and 18s... so my guess is get a set of winter tires for your stock 17s and put some falken 452s on ur legend gt

245/45-17 for the stocks
245/40-18 for the gt

it all depends on what the harness behind the radio looks like... my guess is the harness is the same

but just so you know it really isn't an mp3 player, it is a dvd audio player which plays audio off dvd's with the mp3/wma stored on there... I never figured out how to burn nor care much for it since I have an ipod... cd's = absolete

245/40-18... if you want to run stretch you can also run the 235/40-18 factory specs...

this wheel fits no problem... if you have factory brembos you need a 3mm-5mm spacer

I run 35 front 34 rear... but I have the progress rear sway bar... so if you don't have the progress rear sway bar I would lower it to 33

Damn those FK-452s are $130/tire. Are Falkens much better than say Toyo Proxes 4 or Sumitomo All seasons (dunno the model number)?

Nice. The 912s are all season AND cheaper. I will look into those and the Toyo's. Thanks! No opinions on Sumitomos? I'm looking to spend $100/tire...

Anyway, thanks for the information. This thread will be very useful to me within the next month or so. Planning on dropping $3-4K into my TL.
