Offical 2004-2006 switchblade key

I have gotten JnC's key and got the final price on the keys. Acurazine has sent me some vendor info, but not of it is feasable as I am not making any profit on the keys. I will create a site soon where they can be bought from.

The issue with getting the keys made is I need at least an order for 50 keys otherwise the milling shop will be charging more money, and then it's not worth it to get it cut. The pricing I have right now for 1 milled switchblade key is about 100 dollars shipped to your door, regardless of which memory position. If I can get more than 100 key orders, there will be a price drop of 5 dollars a key as milling will be less.

You are ordering just the milled key, you will have to get it cut and programed when you get it. If you want to save money with this, search for acccord key and there will be a DIY on how to rip out your old immoblizer. Then google acura switchblade and there will be a DIY on how to put your immoblizer into the new switchblade key. After you cut the immoblizers out, there is no turning back for your old keys.

For those with TSX's, I am sorry, But I ask that you please remove yourself from the List as I want to be 100% sure that the keys will work. I will buy and mill a key at my expense and test fit it to a local TSX. I am sorry for this.

IF YOU STILL WANT A KEY, ADD YOUR NAME BY 2 PM Thursday July 31st and Pay for the key by thursday. IF YOU NEED MORE TIME PM ME
Website for payment/order
WWW.SWITCHBLADEKEYS.COM

I will need a list of members and which postion key:
Example
1. csmeance (mem 1 and mem 2)
2. csmeance (mem 1)

If you will ship me the key:
Example
3. csmeance (shipping mem 1)
4. csmeance (shipping mem 1 and mem 2)

Pricing if you will ship me the key (switchblade blank) is:
30 dollars for 1 key, 50 for two keys.

Like I said before, this is no profit to me at all.

I need 50 key orders (25 people with both keys). I will not take money from anyone until the number is reached.

Also to JnC, the shop will finish milling the key when I give them the rest of the orders, sorry for the delay. (they milled half to get the pricing of it)

csmeance

EDIT:

FAQ's

1. If I only have one of my orignal keys, does that matter?
No, it does not matter if you have only one of the orignal keys, you can still purchase, cut and program 2 switchblade keys.

2. Will you send the key cut for my specific vehicle?
No, the key will be milled (the grooves cut in) and you will need it cut to fit your exact car.

3. Is there any way to save money?
Yes, you can cut the immoblizer out of your old keys and transplant them into your new switchblade key.

4. What is the pricing?
100 dollars for the key to your door
30-50 dollars if you have a blank switchblade already and need it milled, to your door.

5. What do I have to do after getting the key/s?
You will have to do 3 things:
1. Program the remote (unlock/lock), this can be done by anyone
2. Program the immoblizer, this can be done by any locksmith or acura dealer.
3. Cut the key to your car, this can be done by any locksmith or acura dealer.

6. Do you ship to canada?
Yes, I will ship to canada, but I will need you address once the 50 keys+ break is completed to alert you of any extra shipping costs. Est. is about 10 dollars extra.

7. Do I need to send you anything?
Not really, if you use the 100 dollar option, nothing needs to be sent. If you use the 30-50 dollar option, you will need to send me ONLY the blank switchblade key/s.

If you do not understand what is meant by milling, here are some pictures to clarify:

thanks for the luck. I was just looking at flbusa's thread and saw that he was charging about 230 dollars for 2 keys, so that means about 115 a key....

I just want to make sure that I understand this right.

If we mail you a blank switchblade key, the total is 30 for one and 50 for two.
If we don't have a blank one, it will be 100 total? Shipping costs excluded from price both ways?

It will be 100 dollars per key shipped to your door, 195 if two are ordered (same shipping weather one or two keys)

Shipping costs are included in the figures in this post and above post, so if you send me the key, then its 30 for 1 and 50 for two to your door.

Where in canada does the key need to be shipped? I'll just add the difference to the price of the key if there is one.

No problem, you have been a great help in getting the cost of the keys for these guys. The shop said they would mill the rest of the key when they get the orders for the others, so they can set-up the machines according to your key. Essentially you will have the master key for the others to be created from....

How will you know the specs to mill the key for my specific car? What about the car recognizing the transmitter?

My exact question...you said if I send you my key. If I didn't send you the key, how would you know how to mill to match my car's taste? Also, if the mill does not work(I've had this happen before) can I send it back for an exchange / refund?

I will mill the key to a blank key with just the grooves, you will have to take it to a locksmith or acura dealer to have them cut it to your car. The immoblizer will have to be programed by the dealer or locksmith as well. As for the unlock/lock buttons, I will include buttons on how to program them to the car, they are listed also in the 3G garage. It is very simple to program the unlock/lock/trunk/panic buttons.

No, I mean if you send me a blank key, not an already programed/cut one. I'll edit my orignal post. As far as the milling goes, I will get a blank cylinder from acura and test all keys before sending them to make sure they have been milled to fit into your ignition properly after being cut by a locksmith.

So... I pay you 100 to get a switchblade key that I can program the buttons on. BUT, then I need to pay acura and a locksmith to cut and program the transmitter in it?? How much does all that end up costing? Average?

As long as you have 1 functioning key, you are good. You can buy your own switchblade key and send it to me (30-50 option) or I can buy it for you and get it milled here (100 option)

For cutting and immoblizer programing, it depends on your dealership. I had AHC lock do my keys and it was about 100 dollars to get 2 keys cut and programed (immoblizer)

okay i think i'm either too tired, or just not reading this right.

so i send you mem1 key, and also send a blank switchblade key = $30 to cut.

then after I get it back, i have to take newly cut switchblade key to dealer to program (or use the DIY on the forums)....

now if i don't have a switchblade key, one can be obtained from you for $100 + $30 if i send mem1 key.
________________________________

so:

customer has (mem1 key, no switchblade) = $130 plus whatever it costs to get it programmed at the dealer

customer has (mem1 key, blank switchblade) = $30 + w/e it costs to get it programmed at the dealer
---------------

correct me if i'm wrong

Heres what I mean:
You can send me your uncut switchblade key and I'll mill it and ship it to you for 30 or 50 bux, depending on the amount of keys.

OR

You can buy the key from me and I'll mill them and ship them to you. 100 for 1 key to your door. The benefit of this is that you save on shipping to your house, then to my house.

jesus christ, thanks for the clarification AJ

so for $100 basically you're sending a blank switchblade with the key/metal portion milled; and then after that we need to get it cut at a locksmith (another 30ish bucks) and programmed at the dealer right(another 60-80ish)?

if ^ is the case sign me up for one as well
