No start after injector cleaning

05 tl auto 215k I removed my injectors seeking to recover mpg which has been stuck at 16 average anyway verified all injectors open with 6v battery and cleaned with carb cleaner installed new orings however I only used red orings did not realize the black ones slightly different. I should also point out I did not relieve pressure before removing fuel rails and got a face full of gasoline when disconnecting. Put everything back together car won't start. If I spray carb cleaner into intake car starts runs till cleaner runs out and dies. All spark plugs despite being a week old had a black film of somethjng on them smelled like gasoline I cleaned them reinstalled car still won't start. If I press gas pedal while starting engine backfires. Battery good fuel pump primes I checked relays they seem ok but car turns over won't catch. What do I do??? I'm tearing the motor down again right now I'm gonna verify pump is actually working and if it is I guess I'm gonna check the injectors maybe one is stuck after cleaning? They all sprayed a nice mist. Help! Car ran great before! This sucks.

Think about the symptoms here....only fires if you manually provide fuel. That means you have air and spark...just no fuel. So check your fuel pressure and all injector connections.

I think I screwed my injectors up removing them. Tomorrow morning gonna pick up used fuel rail with injectors from odyssey 2013 should do the trick. At least one cylinder keeps flooding. I broke a bunch of these plastic pieces on accident removing the injectors I'm never making that mistake again

Well I found the problem. Wet plugs were a dead giveaway.

Picked up a set of used injectors from 2013 Odyssey for 75$ (thanks to this forum of course! Only yesterday I read about car-part.com on acurazine, what a find!) And she fired right up.

Before you ask the obvious yes I did in fact install totally broken fuel injectors after cleaning them. Missing pieces and everything doh! I'm a rookie.

I wouldn't even touch those o-rings if I were you, they swell back up when you take out the injectors and will reseal when you lubricate with oil. The plastics literally shatter when you use a pick and exert force on the body of the injectors to take out the o-rings. When I installed the P2R lower runners, I replaced the o-rings on just 3 injectors, I stopped because one injector's plastic seat broke off partially.

First off thank you for taking the time to read this.

So (not wanting to clutter the forum with threads I'm just going to add to this one) in tracing an exhaust leak I come to find out what I assume is bad news but I'm not sure. So I'm going to throw a couple pictures out and see if anyone has an accurate opinion they might share as to how bad is this? It's just one thing after another...bank two cat had a nice sized chunk missing to match the gasket and exhaust port...it's mating surfaces are wavy and pitted and on then inside all kinds of damage. The reversion step is all jagged. I suppose I'll have to save to get some tl-s cats when I can afford afford to...

is my head cracked?

Anyone with a guess how this happened? I bought with 180k...most of the exhaust gaskets or flange gaskets were missing I recently discovered...

Try some JB Weld on the cracks, smooth the gasket mating surface, new gaskets and cross you fingers.
