What's up Acurazine, just joined. I recently traded up from a 2000 Mustang GT to a 2008 TL auto w/nav.. and I'm loving it. Got a new job and the commute around ATL was horrible in the manual mustang, not to mention the cost of gas. Anyways so far I'm thinking my first mods will be tint and springs. No problems with the car so far, and the only thing that annoys me is that the fog lights are a different color than the head lights. There is enough info on this site to keep me occupied for quite a while, but I'm always open to suggestions
Welcome and congrats!Tint is a great idea, especially with summer coming up soon. I would skip springs and get coilovers so you have full height adjustment if you decide to get wheels later in life. Look into the A-Spec lip kit from one of our vendors as well
welcome to the site, you can register your color here https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/tl-owners-please-chime-855960/ thnx.
you can spend extra $$$$ on 4300k HID for fog light so it cam match with the head light.

Welcome fellow newb.. Tint tint tint, and hell ya your right about the amount of information available on this Acurazine. I have a few times lost sleep because i was either driving around the valley or reading till my eyes hurt...
Im with the others, tint first LOL. Other than that, go with your budget. Had springs on for a year until could afford decent coilovers. It's better to have good springs than crappy coilovers IMO. It was just supposed to be for a couple of months but ended up being longer bc the springs were pretty comfortable so didn't mind so much. Cut them as low as they could go so had moar low and looked good.
AZ is full of info, but stick to one or two mods at a time otherwise it can get a little overwhelming lol
Thanks everyone.
MissAly I've never heard anyone say 'window tints' but that could be a sourthern thang..
I might eventually go with coilovers if I get rims but for now I just want to close that gap a little. Seems like Tein H-techs or H&R Sports are the favorites for ride quality without having to buy shocks or a camber kit. I'm not trying to spend a lot right out of the gate just get rid of the jacked up look. From what I'm reading Aspec doesnt drop noticeably and the prokit may sit higher in the front than the rear.
Also noticed my car likes to downshift early when I hit the brakes and kinda jerks when slowing down. Would the 'garage' fix about the pressure sensors solve this problem or is this just the way these transmissions are for more of a sporty feel? Only 35xxx on the car. I can let off the brakes and let the transmission do the braking when coming to a stop to make it smooth but idk just feels off to me.
