Need Conversion Kit

It would be great to have a conversion kit to have the side marker lights blink with the turn signals. Any thoughts on this? Think anyone will market a kit?

I am actually working on this, but need input from you folks.

My question that I have been pondering is:

1. Should the gray lensed side marker only go on when the turn signal is on?

OR

2. Should the gray lensed side marker go on with the parking/head lights AND flash when the turn signal is on?

Option 2 is much harder as it requires an electronic circuit to turn off the light when the head/parking lights are on.

Once I get your answers I will work on a kit for all.

I am leaning to option 1 as it is more European in look, but option 2 is more in keeping with the original style???

Thanks!

I prefer option 2 as well, but I could live with having option 1.

Option one would suffice.

Option 2 is optimal.

I did this w/ my current car, simple and easy, but it no longer functions as a sidemarker, just as a blinker (as far as I remember, took it out a while ago). I cut the positive wire of the sidemarker and rand an extension to the light assembly and spliced it onto teh blinker wire.

There should be a simple way..

most older GM car would have their parking lights act as blinkeers as well. I believe that this was accomplished with a relay on the negative side, but am not sure. I hope someone figures out an inexpensive/unintrusive way to do this...

Not sure if anyone would like this, but another option is what I've heard of some guys from a maxima forum do. What it does is makes the side marker blink with the turn signal when the park lights are off, and when the park lights are on the side marker will blink oppposite of the turn signals.

Option 2 would be ideal, but that doesn't mean I couldn't live with Option 1. My brother has an '04 BMW 330i w/sport package on the way and that one's light is on with the parking lights and blinks with the turn signals. Of course he is paying $40k+ which I am not willing to do.

Option 2 would be nice. Do any of these modifications screw up the warranty?

Thanks that is option 2.

Moreace, thanks for the comments, that is option 1

SLVR04TL6PD, thanks for the info, in thinking about this, I remembered that the GM's used to do this on the older models (blink the sidemarker by turning off when the parking lights were on and blink), maybe it can be done with the GM relay?

I have to get it to my friends shop this week so I can pull the fender liner out and see how easy this will be to get to the wires of the LED side marker.

Thanks for the input, seems like option 2 is the winner, that is what I will shoot for (PS - even my dealer is intersted in this, so maybe the will cover it, but not sure if other dealers will, but they would have to prove it screws up the rest of the car, which it should not with the low current draw of the LEDS)
