MultiVex Mirrors...
#201
Any update on this topic? not readily finding source for MultiVex mirrors... are there other sources now for aspherical rear-views?

They are great mirrors- I have them on my TL, MR-2, and 2 ST1100s, but unfortunately, they're out of production for several years. You might have to go with the small convex mirrors if you want the blindspot eliminated. Personally, I think these mirrors are way better than an electronic solution like on newer cars.

Once you start driving with your mirrors like this and make use of all your mirrors blind spots are mostly a non-issue. Exception of owning a large car and having a very very small car in your blind spot, you'll always see the edge of the car with in your rear view mirror or your side mirror.

This diagram is FABULOUS!
I have an on-going argument w/ the wife and my sons on how to best set the mirrors...
...as for the aspheric mirrors, I need to replace the right side rear view due to delamination/staining, so that one will always need to be aspheric (now to find a decent price for the glass).
mirrors have heating element also -- was that standard? or an option/upgrade?

I read an article in C&D a few years ago about how to properly adjust your side mirrors which explained it just as this diagram. I set my mirrors like this several months ago and it took a while to "trust" them but I've found it works really well. I'll sometimes still take a quick glance over my shoulder if there's a lot of cars moving around me at night since it's sometimes hard for me to tell where the headlights are coming from.
