Instrument Panel lights out on each side of Navigation

Please help me! By now I read enough posts on this thread and figured out I can replace those tiny bulbs myself as long as I am patient enough. My questions are following 1) Once I remove the navigation are the bulbs clusters visible on the back or more screws and panels need removed before accessing them. 2) What color and size or part number are the HVAC ones? 3) Where can I buy these replacement bulbs? Thank you all for your advices.

I do have one question...did they all go out at the same time? If so, you have another issue other than bulbs.

Go here: http://www.oemacuraparts.com/auto-pa...er=39055sepa11

^^ This lists all the part numbers for the bulbs.

Hi Erdoc48. I am glad you asked They bulbs 3 on each side of the navigation went out one by one in a span of 2 years. I still have few left on each side. For instance the ones with the up and down arrow next to "auto" on each side of the navigation are still good. All the one around the audio panel are still on.
It is worth mentioned I had the same issue with my other 05 TL that got total 5 years ago so I am aware this is a common issue with the TL. By the way I like your profile pic. It looks just like my car! Thanks

once you remove the navigation, you can replace the bulbs easily without removing anything else

part number depends if you have a type-s or not

if not: http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/...All&vinsrch=no

IMO, replace them all with T3 Neo wedge LEds.

I bought brand new bulbs from the dealer, installed them, and half the other ones went bad from just the movement of the installation process. Then I replaced them all with OEMs, and two went out a few days later. LEDs are much more reliable and of course, brighter.

If you do choose the Nano T3 LEDS be cautions that they are polar sensitive meaning that they have to installed correctly with their respective poles. Not rocket science, they can only go in two ways. However, with that being said it would behoove you plug everything in and make sure all lights are illuminating befor you reinstall everything.

I found my bulbs on Ebay for super cheap. I used all red lights to match the interior but where the A/C temp setting buttons are I did not replace with a clear one so the blue shows up almost completely red.

Getting everything out is not hard either, looks much worse than it is.

Just go to ebay and type in T3 neo LED into the search bar.

I find it really hard to believe that you couldn't find any on ebay.

Would the T3's also work on the steering wheel lights too?

Yes, it would.

The only thing it won't work for is the radio, and the power window buttons

It depends on the bulbs

Some of them are regular led bulbs. As in, they look like a bulb (sorry I don't know the technical term) and those are too big for some of the switches like the heated seat ones because the bulb sticks out too far past the housing.

The SMD LED ones however fit almost everywhere but in my experience aren't as bright as the bulb style ones. Either way the neo wedge are definitely better and in my experience more reliable and brighter than the stock bulbs. If I can find the thread where I did my swap I'll paste it later.

Edit; lots of info here;
