taillight modification questions
taillight modification questions
so my car was hit in a parking lot..hit and run... broke out my passenger tail light. they also damaged my exhaust, bumper, etc... anyway, insurance is giving me more than enough to repair the damage...
as to my tail lights, I was debating about either smoking them, or replacing them totally with aftermarket lights. i don't want anything crazy looking..but i might like something a bit more smoked looking. my car is white diamond pearl and I don't like the totally blacke dout tail light look on a white car.. but I thought maybe all red.. or slightly smoked...
anyone who has photos or suggestions on ways to tastefully mod my tail lights let me know. they basically gave me FULL MSRP for a factory taillight and from what I"m seeing online i could probably buy TWO from online parts dealers for what they gave me.. so I could buy two totally new lights.. or maybe i just replace one with another OEM light and then smoke them both?
suggest away. thanks guys.

I just lamin-X'd mine with 60 dollars in materials. I thought this was the best option for me, in case I want something else, I can pull it off with no issues thus reverting back to stock.
Ever since I saw FYAH_TL's 4G with the all red tails, I've thought it looked great. Lamin-x is good stuff too, I used it to tint my tail lights. As long as you wax them every 3 months the film stays glossy.
