multivex mirrors

Question multivex mirrors

With the last car I had (volvo s80), I was able to replace the driver side mirror with a european mirror, it gave you a much wider viewing angle, they were great. I've been searching the forum and have seen some posts involving the multivex mirrors.

A couple of questions:

These just stick onto the stock mirrors? (do they look tacky?)

Do they stick out of the mirror housing? (do they stay within the housing)

Do you still have the full mirror adjustability?

Are they a different color (tint) then the stock mirrors? (if i just got the driverside would it look strange) so do I need both?

Anyone have any pics showing the multivex mirror in the housing? Not just the glass, I want to see the side of the car.

I know that Spoon, a japanese company makes lenses, but they are hard to find. You can, if you find a universal convex'd mirror that fits the lense casing, just go ahead and stick it on. The stock sideview mirror moves the whole lense, so sticking on the new lense shouldnt be a problem since the stock mirror is sunken in a tiny bit.

My lense is tinted yellow, but its still the stock lense. It helps reduce glare during the day, and make street lines a bit more visible.

I went to WalMart and bought a small round convex mirror for $1.00. I've put one on every car I've owned for the past 20 years.

It is small and unobtrusive. It does not extend out past the housing.

I assume you guys already adjust your existing sideview mirrors properly (see link below). I find that they provide me with an ample field of vision such that I don't feel the need for a different mirror. What I really hate is when I get in someone else's car and they have their mirrors set to show the side of the car. What's the point of a sideview if that's how it's adjusted?
