Market Value of 2007 Tl Base

Can someone tell me what the Market Value and possible trade in value for my 2007 TL Base, WDP with Taupe, 10,100 miles, excellent condition?
I want to be prepared, I am going tomorrow to revisit trading for a 2008 NBP TL-S before the body style changes.
Thanks!

You should get $24,000 for your car, and the 08 White TL-S for $37,000

I recently traded my 06 non navi with 18k on it. I got 23,500 in trade and 34,000 for an 08 Type S

if you owe that much you better just keep your car.....and if you dont have it, get some gap insurance!

Example: This was in Dec 06.
When I tradded in my 06 TL NAV mint, 4,000 miles in on a new 07 TL-S, they gave me $27,500 for my 06 TL NAV, and the 07 TL-S for $36,000. But the TL-S was just released.

Maybe you can get $26,000, and the TL-S for $35k. Maybe.

Sorry to tell you this, but the maximum depreciation of the car is really in the 1st year or 2 of ownership. It doesn't make good financial sense to trade in an 07 for an 08, beacause you will lose big! You should probably keep what you have and get some use out of it, but that's up to you.

You can always put an A-spec kit/ wheels if you want the car to look better. Plus, the average mpg of the TL is ~ 25-26/gal (that's what I get). Upgrading to a TL-S will cost more at the pump as well (bigger engine...expect ~ 21-22 mpg overall).

Yeah, I think I'll just go in and take a look around, IF they offer me something that i feel is fair, I might trade, if not, I still walk away driving an awesome car.
I just am not a fan of the Taupe interior, because it's so light and with a 3 year old in back seat it is hard to maintain it. It's a beautiful color combo but not with kids.
Also the paint issues with the WDP, it is a big deal to me, some people deal with it, but I haven't arrived at that point yet.

08 Type-S shoudl be aroudn invoice $35,832 + doc fee. Not sure if Acura extended the $2K dealer incentives past 3/31, but I got my Typs-S last week for $33,221 + doc + ttl. Funny the Honda guy offered me 08 EX-L Accord for $29,800 so for $3400 more I'm back in a Type-S !! Well worth it!!

OK put your car on Autotrader for what you owe. Although car times are tough and savvy buyers will know that dealers are marking down cars and selling at or below invoice this is not always the case. Last August I had my 07 TL with navi and had 11k miles. It was 8 months old and I owed around $31,500. I advertised it on Craigs list and had a buyer in cash within 2 days. Some people don't know how to buy cars and think Acura does nto negotiate so they look for used car deals.
2 weeks ago I put my 7 month old Type-S on Autotrader for $33,900 owing essenetially that much on car. Next morning I had a Porsche dealer call me and he bought my car next day. He said "you paid like close to $40K for this" and I said " uh yeah..." I then go buy a new Type-S for $33,221. Yeah my OTD was $35,800, but I also got better financianig this time since rates are down, so my payment went down like $12 a month and I start with 0 miles again!

Some advice, clean the car up, it must look good as new, clean it inside and out, make sure it is waxed. I do this all the time, I have bought and sold 5 3g TLs since March 04 and the TL has incredible resale and is highly desirable, but to lure them in you need to have a spotless mint car. I have not lost money ona car yet. I treat it as a perpertual lease on my terms, as long as my payments stay in te same range I don't car that I didn't make any equity on the car. I will alsway have a car payment, I have for last 16 years and don't plan on owning anything long enough to pay it off. I drive them until I can sell them for what I owe then start all over. I'm planning on this Type-S to last until March 09 then I will go for what will hopefully be G37 Sedan. Otherwise maybe an 09 TL, but I really hated my 04 TL, year one gremlins.

Thank you KeithL.
I did think about this too, but with my lease through Honda Finance I need to find out if I can sell the car. I'll need to call them.
I'm the same way, I'll always have a car payment too and I enjoy driving a nice new car!

dealers seem to be a little gunshy about paying well on trades right now with the 09's coming out

yeah this is probably going to suck, Like I said, I'm sure I'll be drivin' the WDP back home! I'm going to first have them appraise mine before we even move forward with the other car discussion.

You can sell it. You just have to make a payment for the full Payoff Value or Buy Out Value to AHFC.

Not sure exactly how the re-titleing works, but I am *sure* AHFC does this all the time.

I am certain that the Kelley estimate is an error. $24k trade-in value for a 07TL w/navi, 13k miles, excellent condition is definitely too low. Edmunds shows a higher value.

the prices are dropping quick with the 09 coming out, the dealer wont want to pay top dollar on a 3rd gen trade if the 4th come out and everyone wants those.

Nada has the trade in value at $28,125 but who are you going to convince to buy a used car for $2500 less than a brand new one?
