Insider Report #1--CHECK IT!
I am not going to get into the argument of how I know or obtained this information. This information is VERY reliable. As I get more information I will post.. expect more each day....
Next Gen TL It will come in two versions. The first version is a standard TL with the next generation SH All wheel drive. The horsepower is slated to be 315.
The other version will bring in the return of the Type S. This will also be a SH all wheel drive model, with HP being bumped to 365 That’s right. You read correct. I know what everyone is saying... What about the Torque?? Well I can confirm the Torque on the TYPE S will come in at 375lbs Impressive indeed.
That’s all I can share for now. Look for prototype pictures in the near future as well as more specs.

I find that information extremely amusing... Since the type S came out there was just a jump of 35 hp and 16 ft pounds of torque. in 5 years they have bumped it 10 HP and 6 ft pounds.
Now we are expected to believe that there is some 365 HP (95 hp increase) and 137 ft pounds of torque on the horizon. Honda has been well known for torque starved engines at the low end.
I could believe 315 for the next RL that would be 5% gain and since it was lacking over the M power wise. I can even see a 3.5 TL so the 315hp/270 torque range is plausable.
For acura to put anything out there with 375ft pound of torque (more torque than the HP)!!! ... no way... I am sure the car will appear on the surreal life as well. lol
I can see a concept car with big numbers but not a production car and not one with huge power and soaring gas prices. As it is, GM and Ford have been reduced to junk bond status since they build nothing but 2+ton gass guzzlers.
Next they will tell us that it will be a 3.2 365 HP / 375 torque Type S with SH AWD. This sounds like the buried treasure story in tewksbury ma...

yea im sorry but, this seems a bit out there. Also acura needs to issue the 2nd gen tranny issue b4 even thinking about putting that kind of power in another tl. Its us older owners that will or will not be comming back and giving them bussiness. But as of a 3 honda car owner, within a 10 year period i was happy and a loyal customer. Now i swear i will never be buying another honda period.

You may have got the attention of a few people, but your horsepower numbers are far too ridiculous to be believable.
And Type S is indeed gone.

And for torque to be higher than horsepower would mean more cylinders(not gonna happen anytime soon), and would be the opposite of what Honda motors generally produce.Sorry, but no one is gonna believe somebody who comes to this site and their first post contradicts what Honda has done in the past, unless you have some inside memos or "new brochures" that are not out yet

Dealers are usually the least informed about upcoming products. You can usually find out more in magazines.
