If it was for aesthetics, Looks good!
but for use, why didn't you just go with polarizing the front.... like you find on some BMW, Mercedes and even Buicks.

Kids
Sure it looks cool but you will get pulled over bro. Then with that whiskey on your breath or the scent of herb or the 9 beside the seat = busted. Why draw attention to yourself?!? But kids will be kids.
I will not even mention the safety issue, as I had my side windows too dark, for driving at night, that I had them taken off and lightened. Night driving + a drink + too dark to see = high risk of accident. Especially when in unfamiliar parking lots/driveways.
I also have an exemption note for the tints, but that note (in PA) is not for the front windows, only the sides and the back. I can't believe you haven't gotten pulled over yet, especially in Jersey.
Well good luck, one day when you are older, you will look back and say. "What was I thinking?" Anything to be cool ...
it does look good, no doubt about that.

cop magnet for sure! And I pray you don't get in a wreck. Even if it ain't your fault, your insurance company may leave you with the bill. If someone gets hurt bad, hope you got deep pockets...just something to think about.
I really wanted to tint my windshield, but then I did some research and found that 50% is a good percentage for windshields. The insurance liability thing kept me from looking into it any further. Looks really good though! Stealthy no doubt

ADVANCE.
Hey if you got a doctors note for that and you are a careful person when driving, it's all good then... Looks good! Just be careful man while driving at night... Cops don't give a rats ass if you got a doc's note... They will just waste your time pulling you over and over... So if you got time than that's all you playa... Have fun, PEACE!

Looks AWESOME...
Scary for visibility at night! Especially when you're on a dark road with headlights coming in your direction...Tints tend to add some distortion and I've noticed that they make other car's lights look like 'halo's', making it all that much harder to see the edge of the road.
Love the look, but I'd be afraid to drive with that percentage in the dark.
Good luck! (I give it less than a month before some cop takes a razor to them after issuing the ticket).

i had my front windshield tinted 35% on my old honda prelude. I got pulled over once and the cop checked my vin number. I thought he was going to cite me for my front windshield but he didn't. i guess maybe because the tint was a clean install. i had it over my inspection stickers so it blended right in.. the only cons of tinted front winshield it driving in the rain at night is really difficult.

Looks good for sure, no arguement there.
I just don't understand why a lot of the NY/NJ guys are doin this, must be a fad. It really is the worst part of the country to be doin this because cops are extra vigilant for shadiness around here. At least if you were in FL or AZ you could say it's too sunny and hot but up here the cops WILL get you. It's just a matter of time.
The price of fads....One day when you are older you will wonder why you did that when you were younger. Wasting money on tickets.

for all of you that live in new jersey that sucks, in Maryland you can not legally "just get pulled over for tint" thats from a buddy who is a state trooper. he said that too many cops were pulling people over for tint and giving them tickets. Having tint on your car is not a "moving violation" therefore cannot just get pulled over for that reason....

I don't understand why people pull these old ass threads up. Are you seriously wasting your time looking through 40 pages of threads? Sorry to be an asshole, but this is too old. 4-27-07 to 8-13-08. That is a HUGE gap, let it be. If you want, start a new thread about it.
Anyways, good luck with the tints. I sure as hell won't do that. There are *clear* tints now with glare protection on them like prescription glasses. Check those out for sensitive eyes. They will protect you from bright lights and windshield-tint-pulling-over-cops.

I've had mine since I bought the car (35%) and never had a problem with jake??......for one it's kinda hard for them to even know I have my windshield tinted being that their machine can't read it??, second it does serve a purpose because it protects your dash.....being that I live in Florida it helps alot!!!,third in my opinion it looks HOT!
