Warning: The Extreme LEDs are NOT inexpensive.

I have done my best to keep the costs down. The cost of these LEDs is very high, even when buying them at larger quantities. There is also considerably more work and time involved in the connection process.

Hey guys and girls. I need a new U Tube video for the website www.ampdemblems.com.

Here is the challenge. Make a 1 to 2 minute video for/about Amp'd Emblems. Send them to ampdemblems@aol.com. Multiple videos per contestant are allowed, up to 3. Feel free to use pictures from your car, off of our website, girls, or anything else you can think of. I will take the first 10 entries. Include music.

The new video if good enough, and doesn't violate any rules, will be posted on the website, on U Tube, and on Facebook. If using pictures of people, make sure they are at least 18 years old.

The prize will be a check for $50.00 or $50.00 off of the purchase of an Amp'd Emblem. Your choice.

This contest starts today 10/25/10 and ends when I receive the 10th submission. Good luck!

Ampd - These look HOT! As a new TL owner, I am on mod overload! And I would love to make these my first mod. So I've got an '06 TL in WDP. Have any of your customers done white on the front and red on the back (match headlights & brakelights)? Or is that lame? Also, LED vs. Extreme LED?

I look forward to being the first in my province to get these!

White is very popular in the front. I have written many times that if you go with white in the front, I strongly recommend the Extreme whites. The standards are hard to compete with the HID headlights. Rear...red is also a popular choice as you will see.

British Columbia. I think I will go for the Extreme White on the front and Extreme Red on the back, hooked up to my brake lights. What do you charge for shipping to BC and who do you use? Alternatively, how much to Blaine, WA 98230?

 

First off, you will get $10.00 off for buying the front and the back. Then you will get another $10.00 off for buying Extreme LEDs and being the first in BC, for a total of $20.00 off.

Shipping to WA for both boxes would be $11.02 total. Shipping to Canada would be $13.75. I use USPS.

Also, shipping to WA...3-4 days. Shipping to CANADA...2-3 weeks (it seems). Seems they take that long to get through customs. Not sure why.

1. Is it even possible to wire the rear emblem to the brake lights on a 3G TL, given that the emblem is on the trunk lid and the brake lights are on the body? How would I run the wire and how long does it need to be?
2. For the wire on the front emblem, I take it that it is a standard length b/c it only needs to go to the parking lights?
3. Can we discuss price via pm? I'm just a bit confused on the discounts.

Absolutely. It already has been done. If you look at some of our other models we sell for, not all the wiring points are right near the emblem. That is the sole purpose of the wire length option. Some cars need more than the 1.5' and others want to wire it to different places. You would run the wires from the emblem, to the hinge point, under the hinge cover, then behind the left or right side panel, to the brake light wires. I just did a quick measure. Looks like the 7.5' will be what you need.

Hey i want to get the white emblem for my SSM...is this regular white or extreme white? Not sure which to get for the rear.

 

Hey Maddsiick,

His was the Standard white LEDs. I will say that silver, and white car colors, are probably two of the best colors for Amp'd Emblems®. I don't have any pictures of a white Amp'd Emblem® on silver. Red on silver...looks great. White would probably look great too.

With the rear, on such a highly reflective color paint, you can use the Standard LEDs. You will definitely get more of a kick, and be able to see them farther away, if you use the Extreme. You have probably read, that for the front, to compete with the HIDs, I STRONGLY recommend the Extremes. ESPECIALLY if you choose white for the front.

PS...ask around from some of the guys here that have some. DWB993 has tried both Standard LEDs and Extreme, all in white. Give him a shout. Also, Rockstar143 has both types on his car.

Been a while since we talked. How are the interior LEDs holding up, bud?
Steve speaks the truth. Pretty much any color is good on silver and white. The Amp'd Emblems are available for the front and rear emblems---check the website for the color selection and more pics.
I bought a rear emblem in red for my GF's 06 Redondo Red Accord and it looks fantastic. Be wary of the pics---the red cannot be captured properly on camera and looks orange. It is a deep red that matches the LED tail lights perfectly.
As Steve mentioned, if you do the front, you want the Extreme LEDs, especially in white.

As far as marketing goes...it's called a double entendre...they come in red...you know, "they" come in red as well as emblems. Gets your attention and gets stored in your memory (or spank) bank for later when you're deciding what your next mod will be.

I think the ad is perfect. Sorry, I've been dormant for a bit, didn't realize how much more love this thread is getting.

Mine are still going strong and still turn heads and get the "are your emblems lighting up"...still an amazing mod for the car. One of a kind...still happy with the extremes up front and regular one on the rear. Such a sectsy mod though that I'd rather have it wired to parking light...if you do it to your brake light you'll never be able to get out of your car and enjoy looking at it yourself!!!!

I'm good, man. Always around, just haven't been hitting the forums much lately. My upstairs computer is getting repaired and I've been putting a lot of time into a 1993 accord my ex boss and friend is paying me to hook up for his 16 y/o daughter.

I really think I missed my calling .

 

Awesome! Looks like it's just about time to order these bad boys. One last question: when shipping to Canada, who do you use? USPS? FedEX? UPS?

 

Pretty sure he wrote USPS in one of his other responses...I think that's how the cost is kept at around $13 although it will sit at customs and takes 2/3 weeks to get there.

 

Thanks - I thought I remembered reading that, too - just wanted to confirm. Better it sitting at customs than having to pay likely over $100 in brokerage. Although, there is a way around that.

 

You guys are correct. I use USPS. One box is around $9 bucks shipping to Canada. +/-. They do sit in customs for too long. I don't know why. So the USA addresses are much better for time to delivery.

One more thing about shipping...since we are on it, realize that none of the models are pre-made. We get the order, check our stock of raw emblems....(we have most Acura and Honda in stock)...then make it according to your specs and options. Shipping happens when complete of course. So just understand that, when selecting the shipping options. (Priority and First Class are the only 2 available.) We don't just pull them off the shelf...and ship them out. (One day..)
