I like the look Amp'd-but I vote for white instead of blue.

 

So...i think im going to jump in and get one myself, however the color choice is very difficult, i am thinking blue as what i want, but like i seen from the pics the white and red both look great, very tough choice..i also have the gray metallic car

Just so I am clear, you are speaking about the rear Amp'd Emblem for a CL right? Currently the front is not available for sale. A front Amp'd Emblem for the TL 3G will more than likely be coming soon.

Yes, i am referring to the rear, of course hopefully a front will be available in the future if you decide to go that route...

tough to decide with three color choices in mind, thinking red to match the brakes, clear would look pretty classy, blue is the color i like as i was planning to do blue lights on the side door panels and possible interior lights...but it might stand out too much on the outside..

^^Man, I've been trying to figure this one out for a couple of months now.
First I wanted blue to accent the interior lighting (like you). But then I figured none of the interior lights would be on at the same time as the exterior.
So now I am at white.
My GF bought the red for her Redondo Red Pearl Accord and it looks suh-weet!. But red is out of the question for me.
The good news is that this mod isn't something to break the bank. If I don't like the white, or want to try the blue, I always can.

 

Will the front emblem infringe on any state laws? I know that varies by state but just wondering if there are any regulations that apply here. Seeing an extra red or blue light in the rear view might startle some.

 

The meet was good. a bunch of members where checking mine out and I was sending them to Rocky to see it in white. Mine was a hit! I am sure Rocky had the same result.

Hey DWB. Do not hold me to this...but....for the front, being that they are screwed on, I might work out a plan to change out the color of a purchased Amp'd Emblem. You would just have to cut the wires after the tap...and reconnect them. Again, don't hold me to it, but off the cuff, it's an idea. Will let you know soon.

As far as the laws go Geezer, I myself have blue. I don't worry about it. With that said, if you do something wrong, you could always get a ticket for something. But...unless you are right behind...or in front...of the law....AND they notice it ....AND they think its strange...I wouldn't worry about it. But...I make no claim to legality. Remember...the light is very subtle. More accent...than anything.

Well, after some thinking i decided on going with White, placed my order today and cant wait to see the results once installed, I may consider going with blue down the road, but with white i know im safe with a clean look that isnt over the top ( for me anyway ) it really is hard to decide on these colors lol

 

I've got the blue emblem on my 01 CL Type S and that thing looks awesome! I have gotten so many compliments on it as well. The wiring is simple and the only part that takes any time is removing the trunk liner. If an illuminated front emblem is ever made for the CL, I am definitely in. Thanks again Ampd!

 

You can't go wrong with White. At least not in my opinion. It almost looks like Acura decided to light up their own emblems.

Not hating on blue...I'm sure that looks great..just not the avenue I happened to travel down. I went white and you know what they say. Once you go white your car's outta sight.

The red looks real hot, too. Guys, the red on WDP is a combination that is smoking...not to mention RRP.

 

Red on WDP does look pretty amazing too..especially if you're TYPE s with red type s emblem.

 

I considered Red, but i was only going to do that with the brake lights, I went with White so that it is always on. I really was thinking Blue, What held me from doing that is thinking the red tails with a Blue light, look a lil cop like I thought lol..and that it might not sit that well with a cop behind me, with White, I think it will just look nice and classy, and as rockstar143 said, It will look like Acura just decided to do that...anyhow, cant wait to see how it looks!

 

^^^ The red looks nice (on the rear logo) because of the taillights-I went with red. The white looks good too, because of the license plate light. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't thing the rear logo come in blue.

I think any of the colors ( red, blue or white ) would look good, I think the white will look killer cant wait to get it so i can put some pics up!

Steve, any idea on the complexity (wiring) of the front install? I was able to handle the rear & would like to complete my set.

 

im still hesitating to pull the trigger on this one. I have a WDP base TL and I was leaning towards the white to match the license plate light but i figured red would look pretty sweet too with the taillights. Anybody have any ideas?

 

Well, i was considering Red myself, And if i went Red, I would have it with my brake lights on only, I chose White so that it will always be on when my lights are on with the license plate, I ordered some White bulbs for my plate lights ( ebay ) so it will match up with the light, and from the pics, You really cant go wrong with White...either one would be good, just a matter of if you want it on when you brake ( red ) or always on ( white ) also i would check the pics again at www.Ampdemblems.com ... the majority of peeps went white and it looks good ..nice and clean look

 

I was hesitant too, but I went with red and really love it. I honestly think there's 2 schools of thought....white matches the license plate light or red matches the tails. Either way, you can't go wrong.

 

I think Red looks hot. Period. Blue is on my car. I like it. White looks great on dark colors but I would not put a White Amp'd Emblem on a white car. I don't think you would appreciate the effect. Too sublte. For me, if I had a white car, I would probably go red, or blue. Red looks hot on black too as you can see on the website, Geezer's Black TL has a Red Amp'd Emblem. Geezer...it's not that bad a project. It takes a little longer than the rear. But not too bad. I am working on 03's CL Amp'd Emblem as we speak. The next thing today will be a front TL. Need to work up the high quality install pics so it's as easy and clear as the rear. I only needed a screw driver( straight slot and phillips ), pliers for the taps, I drilled a hole in the mount and a hole in the grille behind the emblem, zip-tied the wires in 2 places, and tapped.

 

It literally took me only half an hour to install this emblem. Just couldn't take pictures since the weather was nasty...Finally got some pics!!!

 

Forgot the mention that My baby's color is Pearl White!!! So it's a white emblem on a white car!!

 

I guess I will have to take back my comments about white not looking good on white! Looks good Da2!

go to photobucket.com...create a username and password and upload the pictures from there onto the website. It'll give you different links you can then copy and paste into your posts that will show as images. The 4th one down (it'll say for forums etc) will work for here.

I used photobucket but you can use many similar ones.
