After many long months of doing research, looking, saving, and pondering, I finally pulled the trigger tonight and bought my TL.
I was originally dead set on getting the Redondo Red/Ebony 6sp non-navi but upon seeing a few dirty ones in person I changed my mind. I ended up with a SSM/Ebony Auto-Navi.
The dealer just got the car in today and it only had 4 miles on it upon delivery.
I did a very thorough delivery inspection and only found 3 minor issues.
1. 1 single fiber coming from the pleat in passenger seat.
2. Something gooey on the XM antenna(?) on roof of car.
3. 1/4" long crack in underside of C/F trim surrounding gear shift lever housing.

Other than that the car is perfect. Just as I was hoping for.
Anyway, thanks to all those who have answered questions for me in the past even though I wasn't an owner yet. I look forward to many more discussions in the future and meeting some fellow owners.

 

cool, make sure you condition the black seats weekly, black turns old really quick. my first choice was silver/ebony too, now i m very have with my silver/gray.

Congratulations, and may you enjoy your new ride. I find your comments interesting because you purchased your vehicle so late in the run of 04s. Were you able to get a fair price on the car? Did you shop at a number of dealers? If so, was there much of a difference? I ask these questions because I have ordered an 05 although some of the salesmen that I spoke with are continuing to call me about 04s that are soon to arrive. I will listen, but I would like some idea of the amount of discount from the MSRP that I should expect. Still thinking...

I will, but then again all 3 of my other Acuras are black interior.

Yes there was. The company I work for owns an Acura dealership but they wouldn't work with me so I had to go to their competitor.
I was going to order an 05 also but didn't know if in fact they were going to change the shade of red or not and didn't figure I would get a break on the price since they are selling so well. Also, was trading in the wife's car and another year model would hurt the already bad negative equity we have in it.
