Goodbye TL Hello Ridgeline

I did it. Traded my o4 TL 6 speed for a loaded 2006 Honda Ridgeline. I needed a truck so it is what it is. The Ridgeline is much better than I expected. I feel right at home with the controls and I love the UPDATED DVD navigation. The screen is crispier than the TL and my wifes TSX. I did lose the Bluetooth and the tilting mirrors but that's it. The truck mirrors don't need to tilt as they are big enough to see the curb. The acceeleration is like the TL with 5 200lbs adults in it so I'll do my going fast on the motorcycle. Here is one interesting thing, the honda dealer told me that the TL trade was a wash. Usually leasees go upside down but in this case I guess not. My payments are $525 per month for 39 months with $500 Total out of pocket.

Congratuations, I saw a test Ridgeline on Interstate 95 last March in North Carolina and didn't know what it was until I saw the Honda emblem. Nice truck, quite innovative design stuff.

The 99TL has been rock-solid as opposed to the 00-03s.

Sorry, but I don't know what Honda is thinking with the Ridgeline, it's ugly. I know that want to capitalize on how well the other Japanese manufacturers are doing with trucks, but they could have done a better job on the looks.

That's probably not an option when you NEED a truck. Hey, wanna haul that gravel in the back of your TL?

This thread is not worthless without pictures. If you want to see what a new Ridgeline looks like then go to the Honda web page.

Congrats on the new truck... I test drove one last week myself and was very impressed with it.. My dealer here in Ohio said that he only had 7 and six were out the door in 2 days... If I wanted one, I would have to get on a list, and 12 were in front of me...
He said with my 02 TL and $1000 my payments would still be the same..

I need to trade my TL for a truck too

Just toook my TL in for the second time and another bent wheel. I have less than 10K miles and have already bent two wheels. I've spent over $600 on stock wheels so far and two allignments. Both times in the $hithole of Detroit, I wish they would fix their potholes. Nothin in that city works, just a matter of time before GM goes under.

Congrats on the new truck. The Ridgeline is certainly a geek's dream with all its hidden compartments and clever packaging and I admire it for that reason. Too bad it's ugly as sin, though. I mean c'mon. Honda Design has once again gone to sleep at the switch. The Pilot is better-looking and almost as functional.

Well if you need a truck... When in need of hauling the gravel why not take your old F?

congrats on the new truck. personally i would have gone with the nissan titan. i think a v8 is required on pickups for the towing power.
