I have stopped doing those runs at drag strips. Why??? Becuase I found out that insurance does not cover any damage to a vehicle while being used for racing purposes in an event.

I've never heard of that before. I've heard of warranties being voided but not insurance coverage being voided. I'll have to review my policy on that one.

It is standard in all auto policies. Read your exclusions in the back of your policy. I am not being paranoid, I am trying to be helpful here chief!!

Nitrotiger,
Did you ever pull the air box restrictor and re-dyno your car? You had talked about it in a previous thread. Have fun tonight!

I ran 15.12 w/ 93 mph the first time, and 15.02 w/ 93 mph the second time. It was my first time ever drag-racing so the tree kinda got me the first couple of times, I got a red light on my first run and I had a terrible reaction time on the second run. I just turned VSA, AC/HEAT, Radio off, put in D5 (no sport-shift) and gunned it. Next time, I should be able to get it better since I'll have experience with the tree..

First run I had a pretty fun experience cause I raced my father, he has a '68 Camaro with a 850hp engine (he did a 9.47) and the second run was against like a '97 Civic hatchback that had something good under the hood (he did 13.06).

Tonight there were a lot of VW Golfs, Civics, Mustangs, the usual street cars.. A couple of Integras and RSX's, my TL, and the '04 TL on the Acura side.. Not a bad night overall

Well i ran king of crappy lots of wheel hop 14.50 at 97.65. My 60ft sucked 2.40. i figured out i needed to add some air to about 40psi but it started to rain before i got another shot. But the car has plenty more to go. I watched a couple g35 go at it the were running the same mph well the 6 speed was. I think im going back friday to redeem myself . I will say there is a big difference from auto to stick i never seen a n auto go under 14.8 at 94.00 mph. And AEGIR i never got around to pull the restrictor out yet but i will post when done.

Bro ... 14.5 ain't too shabby ... perfectly driven your car is seemingly capable of very low 14's... that's kickass ...

Hey Peterubers thanks bro. But i want the low 14.2 slip in my hand then i will be happy I want to do the springs next so that should help a bunch in the 60ft. Right now it squats so hard.

When I dropped my Type S w/ CT springs..... the take off was phenomenally improved... once you're in the 2.2's, you'll start seeing the 14.2's ... good luck man, it's not too far away.

Sorry, this may be off topic... where is it? How to attend to? Any fee for using the track? Who's gonna record the time for you?

Thanks.

there is a big box that can be eliminated. its under the current air box i do believe. look at the diagram of our intake system. this is what the cai get rid of as well as the icebox on the CL-S

Why do you think you need to ADD air? Do you want more wheel spin?

How did you break your car in?

Are you trying to say that making more power is going to make your car slower because of wheel spin?
