I think it would look nice, just as nice as the IS. But, as mentioned, exterior care would be extremely difficult.

matte black only looks good on super high end cars or a car with a ton of curves (a la IS). the TL would look horrible, too plain of a surface to work with. someone ps it, you'll see what i mean.

I feel bad for the car. Imagine it in glossy black. Or red, white, yellow... Hell, that'd look 100x better in anything non-flat colored.

Flat black = prepare yourself for massive fingerprints!

I just had a guy with a professionally painted flat back brand new jeep come and look at a Jeep I was selling recently....ANYTHING that touches the paint leaves a visible mark from miles away. It looked cool...but appeared to be more of a pain than it was worth.

One thing he mentioned.....EVERYBODY that walks by it touches it. He comes out to get in his Jeep and its COVERED with marks all over it every day.

this kind of shit PISSES me off. even with my reg paint, when i have it nice and clean and glossy people have this dumb ass urge to run their hand down it and i just want to punch them. since i have a black car it leaves smear marks or fingerprints.

The IS isn't super high end (or even high end) and it barely has ANY curves...the entire side profile looks like a slab of uninspired sheet metal

So I was just thinking about this the other day after seeing this nice Audi wagon.
Audi Wagon<<<Link to pics

I contacted a shop in Chicago that does vinyl advertising signage on cars. They quoted me about $2000 to $2500, but would give a more accurate price if they could see and measure the car in person.

if you dont want to paint your car there is a company that makes a flat black wrap thats similar to the 3M thing and it doesnt cost a whole lot andddd if you get tired of it you can just peel it off
