finally debadged
so I finally debadged athena. It looks awesome, such a clean look. I will post picture tomorrow. I have redondo red.
If I look closely where the letters used to be, I can see faint outline of the letters, I guess its probably glue, you guys experience this? what can I use to get that off without any damage to the paint?
Thanks for the replies.

The outline is probably from the fact that there is wax around the letters, but not under them. Just wash and wax the car and it should look fine.

If the surface is smooth, it is not glue. Try the good wash & wax method that te3point5 mentioned, and if it there is a faint outline still present, it should fade as those sections are also exposed to nature like the rest of your paint.

ummmm the tires like like they have been installed backwards. i dunno what type of tires they are but from the tread they look like uni-directional tires. meaning there is a left and a right side to them. i thought that all uni-directional tread should point foward.

I think the tires are backwards too...every car I've seen with a tread pattern like that have the tread pointing in the direction of travel. Mabe he drives fast in reverse and wants them that way????

Isn't that how the tread pattern is supposed to be. If you think about it, the contact patch, where the tires actually make contact with the road, the tread appears to be in the right direction. Isn't the pattern supposed to sweep water away from front to back??? That V pattern would suggest so.
Who knows.....I could be wrong.

If you put it on the wheel inside out, it will still be inside out regardless of which side of the car it is mounted.
The following is from the Tire Rack Owner’s Manual:
Directional tires only: Refer to the "rotation arrow" branding on the tire's sidewall. The arrow indicates the direction in which the tire should turn.
Asymmetric tires only: All tires should show sidewall branding indicating side facing outward.
Directional and asymmetric tires: Look for "side facing outwards" branding. Look for "rotation arrow" to determine side of vehicle.

I agree with you Ron, but what I meant to say what that once you have the tire on the wheel, you can easily tell which side( either drivers or passengers) of the car the tire should be mounted, depending on the unidirectional tread. From the picture on tirerack, it looks like the wheel, with the tire on, should be put on the drivers side. Same applies with the picture shown above.
