Early Lease Termination

I am asking this for a friend who wants to terminate a lease early. We've read online just I wanted to ask around on here to get some "real" experiences and advice.
What are the options as far as getting out of a lease early? Would it cost a fortune to terminate early?

Thanks in advance!

the termination terms and conditions should be clearly spelled out in your copy of the lease agreement

Her papers state that she would have to pay the remainder of the payments, which I knew that. I may suggest she use a swap a lease site or check into maybe selling the car if she is allowed to do so.

If you need any assistance etc. ...shoot me a PM

you can find someone to take over your lease, no penalty there.

NO, I said a friend. I would not try to get out of a lease I've only been in for 2 months. I am just wanting my paint problem resolved. Who would want my car anyway, with the neon white bumper.

Nothing stopping your friend from selling, she would just have to make sure she got enough to cover the remaining payments and the residual of the car, otherwise, she'd be paying the difference out of pocket. We traded our Camry before the end of the lease, which is essentially selling it to the dealership, there was no penalty. Have her check the value of the car on Edmunds or KBB and then she'll know if she is upside down in the car, and if so how bad, that may help her decide which route to go. I have heard some good things about the Swap Lease programs, but have never used one personally.

Crissy78,
Say that quote to your friend. I was referring to your friend, not you.
