Arrow Does anyone know what the HECK goes here??

I thought this would be the switch to turn on/off the parking sensors. But it isn't. Does anyone know of an OEM switch that goes here? Maybe Canadian Windshield washers?

It's a blank - nothing is "supposed" to go there.
Anything "can" go there.

So there is no OEM switch that goes there? I'm so OCD when it comes to the car. Didn't know if it was where a fog light switch used to go or something.

correct, it comes blank.

DIY'ers have used that spot to add another switch; fog lights, dvd players, etc.

Should make it a VTEC switch, that'd be awesome.

Was gonna say that it's a perfect place for a detector display; the one for my V1 is a bit too big for it though.

I think the OP is getting at something else here. We know there was no oem switch that goes in that spot on the 3G TL, but maybe the better question would be why did they make it that way if nothing ever went in there. My only guess is that exact panel is used in another vehicle that does have a switch that goes there. Otherwise it would have been completely pointless for them to make a slot for a switch. Maybe the MDX uses that same panel and has an additional switch for whatever, or maybe that's for CDM models and is a power folding mirror button slot. Who knows......

Acura knew their car was going to be modified in some way and the blank cover would be a nice place for an accessory button

Plus, symmetry lol

I think this is the best use of that spot. Everyone tells me they didn't know Acura offered it. That's how stock it looks.

I wonder if that spot has anything to do with the weird light bar at the bottom of the back bumper on the Chinese market TL. Possibly a rear fog-light built into it.

Ignore red circles:

^This, I'm pretty sure the location was used for the Chinese TL's rear fog light (the red bar) switch.

That's what I was wondering, it has to be used for something somewhere else. I wonder if there's a plug for an additinoal switch in the wiring harness up under the dash. I remember all of GM's optional accessory wiring was already there. To add a remove trunk release to my GN all I had to do was get the button and the solenoid out of a junk yard and plug it into the harness. Same with the methanol injection and light on the dash.

For my car it's getting ready to get a remote bass knob. I'm glad JL offers a black hardware kit to replace the chrome/steel so it's all black. I hate aftermarket knobs and crap showing. The main thing is to keep it out of reach of passengers which makes it a perfect spot.

Yes an OEM switch is what I am looking for, might not find it but that's okay. I was thinking of doing something like a QTP valve.

As I know red part on the lower bumper is just a reflector. No rear fog
Main purpose of it is to move the reverse bulbs due to license plate being wider.

I used it as an 'Oil Slick Dispenser' button on my '05 TL. Came in handy during some tight courier runs..

incorrect. the light on the bottom is a reverse light. notice how they dont have reverse lights next to the license plate? and the middle is just a reflector

The reverse lights in that picture are the white ones on either side. The red bar between them is the fog light.
