Different between SSM & ASM silver???

Different between SSM & ASM silver???

Hey guys I'm buying a 07 TL-S with ASM sliver. I found out there have 2 different of silver. I went to the member car pictures, there all looks the same.So, what's the different?

I have a ASM and my friend has a SSM and the only difference we can tell is that his looks a shade darker and mine seems to show the metallic better.

I paint for a living and there is not much difference between these two colors. In fact, unless you really look hard there is not much of a difference. Just a different size flake in the metallic to put it short for you.

I'll post it again in this thread...



As you can see, SSM has more of a "blueish" hue to it, whereas ASM is more "silver".

Yeah, like everyone else said...SSM is just a shade darker than ASM. Here's another example....my SSM on the left.....and another members ASM on the right:

My '05 SSM , perfect example of the "bluish" tone under certain light conditions. i think this shot is perfect .

From what I remember, SSM is mostly fine metallic tint, ASM is mostly medium and/or coarse metallic tint. Under proper lighting, and high gloss finish, you'll clearly see the difference up close.

SSM is a very commonly used Honda silver.
