Cabin a/c filter(s)

Does the TL have cabin A/C filters? If yes, how many and how are they removed?

The owner manual never said it. Probably behind the glove box?

Or TL doesn't have it at all... the Acura technical info seems to have no answers on it.

Right out of the sales brochure:

Dual-zone, Dual-mode Automatic Climate Control System with micron air-filtration system

2nd and 3rd generation TL's have micron air filtration systems. Its a filter behind a panel in your glovebox.

How is the glove box removed? I cant seem to get the black tabs at each corner of the box to budge. Other cars require that you warp the box back to allow it to drop. There is also a arced tab that perhap that extends from the side of the box into the dash. I suspect this is what slows the opening of the box and gives you that "quality" opening process.

I did once to remove it. I removed two things like tabs or nodes from each side, and it's very easy to separate it. But I couldn't put it back right, left a big gap on its right and it rattled, then my dealer did that for me... It's my first time to take apart my cabin stuff...

U would do better...

P.S. We even don't know if the minder would tell you when to replace it.

I have a 99 TL and I just came back from getting my a/c filter changed. There were 2 pieces to it and they are behind the glove box. I will try to get the pics up asap for you guys.

The A/C cabin filters should be replaced every 30,000 miles under normal conditions. If you live in urban areas they should be replaced about every 15,000 miles or so. If you have the 30K service done at the dealership this is part of that service.
