Blue LED/regular light button mod?

Hey guys, has anyone switched out all their buttons and replace them with blue lights underneath? im sick of looking at the green/yellow mixed lights that dont match the black on black look!

I love the 2 blue LEDs on the ceiling, but im lookng for the buttons on the dash and steering wheel. i saw the thread where the kenedy memo seats have been switched, just checking to see if the buttons could/have been done.

since they aren't LED's you will need to either convert them, or find a way to make the bulbs light up blue. the way they make them green is by using blue covers/condoms

Some of the radio buttons are smt leds and such. I contemplated doing a similar "all blue" led mod, but that's way down at the bottom of the list.

Here's an example of the amount of work we're talking about:

Ehh...

Blue condoms make green lights?

Are you sure? The memory mod buttons had red condoms but when the red condoms were removed to a bare bulb the looked like the rest of the green lighting.....

that is true, the bubls have blue condoms on to make green. Look at psheu's thread on his 07 radio, it shows the blue condoms clearly, and we all know the lights are blue.

they need a DIY for a 2003 TL with navi LED conversion. I want to change my interior lights to all blue. How much time did it take you? If I go do it at a shop how much do you think it would cost me?

That full dash LED mod is if you have hours upon hours of time and patience and you have an extra car! Crazy! I already spend way too much time on my mods; and I'm not even 50% done with my car yet. You wanna pay someone to do a full dash like that for ya? Forget it! They'd kill you.

No need to go crazy, our TLs light up like a jet cockpit. We've all gotten compliments on our stock interiors I'm sure. Lighting is subtle but adequate. LEDs have a distinctive glow that could be distracting if you do the full dash like that. Lighting is engineered with that soft glow on purpose.

Sticking to some of the detailed mods Kennedy has been pointing suits the TL well enough. Couple hours of work and you can have that interior looking sharp and coordinated. White with blue and Amber looks just right. Red just on the needles. It's the 80's Honda green we're trying to get rid of.

My drivers door is badass...
Blue ACURA door sill, blue "don't hit my door" light, blue memo button, and blue security light...

I agree with Rock though. LEDS are prone to hotspotting, and may be a bit too bright.

My new focus is the mirror... Trying to track a spare down I can hack up... Anyone have one?

the lights produce a nasty yellow color, and when they put the blue caps on them, it gives you green light. some how it doesn't do anything when they put the red caps on them

Need Tech Support, please!

Please forgive the revival of so old a thread.

So, I'm trying this blue LED mod. So far, I've got the MAX and MID controls converted. I have also gotten the VSA and trunk release buttons done.

My problem is I went into the mirror control unit and wound up not realizing a piece had come out. I found it after I had put it back together and realized something wasn't right. It has something to do with the rear defrost button, as that button no longer springs in and catches. It measures about 1cm on the "base" in pics 3 & 4.

If anyone recognizes this piece and can tell me where specifically it goes, it will really help me out.

Here it is:
