I got the front lip and the back lip off a 05 aspec. I want to put it on my car but should i even try to find the side skirts? i am wonder if its looks funny with out it or if any has that setup.

Most everyone here will tell you to do it all, or don't do it at all. Personally, I would like to see some pics also, so I can decide for myself.

 

IMO- the sideskirts are the least drastic change in terms of the ASPEC kit i.e. it won't look funny. Personally, I would try and get the sideskirt but that's just me.

 

yeah, i was thinking about doing this myself, just the front and back. Ive seen it on a couple of cars and I like the look. It does give the car a different feel to it. Imma try it when I get my kit, and if i dont like it, im going to put on the side skirts.

 

If you can put the back and the front together, you will find that the side skirts are very easy to install.

 

well the price is not that much more for sideskirts.. how much is the front and rear you are getting? if it is close to 700.00 .. just get the whole kit for 800.00 .. but most wont even be able to tell the difference..

i have seen them without, and it doesnt look right. the type-s is a different story, the stock type-s sides are not much different then the aspec upgrade. but it will definitely look like somethings missing without. you can wait, but it is almost guaranteed that you will end up buying them once you see what it looks like. but if its not in the budget, just wait it out, but i would plan on it eventually.

 

Well i got them from my friend for free so i was thinking about getting the skirts. I just got order my springs from tein and ill just put it on and see how it looks. ill post some pics once i do. hey maybe you guys can help me pick out my rims.

i disagree...i've had only the front and back on my NBP for over a year, and i don't want the sides

 

I think that those wheels might actually have too much lip. Plus, they're staggered which is odd on a front wheel drive.

 

yup i got the front and am still to install it but well.....

i dont really like the back...but that's just me......

 

i had this same question til i met a guy with a tl with front and rear and didnt even notice.. he told me it makes about 1inch difference and after seein that i only ordered front rear.. im meaning to get the sides but it wasnt that important to me at the time cuz i wanted to get the kit on lol

 

thats cool, if you like then thats all that matters. i was just giving my opinion. its not that it looks bad or anything, but i just think the sides make it look better. they are both lower, and wider. so when you are looking at the car from the front corner, you can tell that the front and back flare out, while the sides tuck in.

even though you may not WANT them, you should still get them, even if its just to make me happy

 

if it makes you happy, you can buy them for me

 

I dont think missing side skirts will make THAT much of a difference but I would def get them if you can.

i dont think anyone will notice it unless they looked real hard. the change isnt much.

PS: i think only tl owners will notice the difference
