Problem with gas mileage....
Problem with gas mileage....
Ever since I bought an 02 Dodge Ram quadcab for a second vehicle - it seems slow. So, I practically floor it everywhere I go.
Well since I share the driving about half of the time with the TL - I get all excited to drive a fast car again, and I floor it everywhere I go.
I can't seem to find a happy medium. I think I'm doomed forever.
Anyone else have this problem with having 2 semi-daily drivers?

My RX-7's 1.3-litre rotary engine doesn't put out enough torque, so I tend to rev it higher to compensate. Revving a rotary is fine and doesn't stress the engine, but it does cause what is already a thirsty engine to drink gas even more quickly. One time after I had driven the RX-7 every day for a week I found myself revving the TL much too high (I hit the rev limiter once getting onto I-395 when I forgot it wouldn't buzz at me to shift the way the RX-7 does when I hit 6500 rpm).
The RX-7 isn't a "semi-daily" driver for me, though, for a number of reasons, so I can't say I routinely have these problems.

Hi,
What's with the topic name?
But I know what you mean, sometimes I need to rock my friend's 2007 civic...
Then when I get into my TL-S, I get a stupid grin on my face knowing that I don't have pray anymore to switch lanes on the highway.

Although I did have a second thought after posting (after 5 minutes of posting, so no edit). Title is perhaps a little misleading - might get closed for car talk.
We will see I guess - by no means is this the worst thread I have seen
understand your feelings EXACTLY
I have an '05 TL & a new 2008 Avalanche. I drive whichever vehicle I feel like driving, but it is a MAJOR change each time.
I am in the process of moving, so I now drive one for a couple weeks, and then drive back to my old house (500 miles away) and swap cars for the next couple weeks. The problem you described was not as bad when I would only go a day between swapping cars. Now when it is a couple weeks between the problem is MUCH worse.

Then I remember what car I'm driving.
