Allow Me To Reintroduce myself

my names Dee.

Well after almost two years of work I finally took delivery of a 2006 NBP Acura TL.
I purchased her at Acura of Westchester in New York and everyone there was very helpful in my process. Im loving the car already and cant wait to really give her a drive. Only thing I didnt get was Navigation because payments would've been too high so hopefully in the near future I can either add an aftermarket or do what others have done and get the stock navi system installed but we shall see. My first mod of course will be tints which I shall be getting done in a week or so. I will take pictures as soon as I get a chance.

thanks everybody. I just came from taking her around the block and i must say that im very impressed with the car. I traded my 2005 Honda Accord with 4800 miles on it for this beauty. And first thing i noticed is how stable and quite the cabin is. The car feels very solid compared to the accord and much more luxurious. Car definately gets an A+ from me.

There is a couple of guys on here - well maybe just one who completed a swap - non-navi to navi - he bought all the parts for abt $1500 if I remember correctly and hooked it up himself. Prety darn brave I might add. If I find the thread I'll attach it here.

Congrats on your purchase, Triton!

You should have talked to us before going non-navi if you were interested in a navi. It is worth every penny and those of use with it would have done our best to talk you into it.

However.....if you search in the Audio/navi/bluetooth subforum, you'll find several threads addressing aftermarket navi systems. I would not advise pulling your new car apart to install a stock navi....but that's just me.

Dee, welcome aboard and congrats on your new TL. There are a few folks who don't have Navi but the overwhelming consensus is to have it. I completely agree with Bob about pulling your car apart to install a stock system. I would definetly look at an aftermarket product. As previously stated, there are plenty of people here with knowledge and experience and will assist you in any way.

Thanks again everyone.

Hey Neuron, I did do my research on getting the navi but the price difference in my payments was a big difference considering I got a high interest rate because of my credit. I dont regret not getting the navi but its something that I did want and at the end of it It was something that at the time i knew I wasnt gonna kill myself making payments on. But maybe next year i'll look into trading her in for one with navi. But besides that, the car is great and im glad that I got it.

The only thing about aftermarket which i realized is that i'll lose the displays for the temp and the rest of the displays that are on the non-navi screen. If there were a way to still be able to get that then its something I might consider some time down the line.

Understood. I fear the credit agencies....your credit score can even determine whether you get certain jobs. They keep "Too Much Information"!
