Unhappy Ah Noooooo! Key Scratch!

So I just got done washing my car and opened the trunk to get something out but as I was lifting the trunk I forgot I had my key in my hand and it put a scratch on the trunk door. The scratch is deep enough that it took the paint right off and u can definately tell it's there. Anyone know the best way to fix/repair/cover it up? I've searched the forums and saw something about ScratchX but some people say it doesn't work too great. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Here are some not-so-great-quality pics cus they are from my cellphone, unfortunately my digital camera is off traveling Europe...

What about touch up paint? it costs like $6. I had some chips in my paint and now I can't see them anymore.

It will just take a few weeks for the sun to blend in the paint.

You build up the touchup paint in the scratch in layers, that way it will fill the scratch in. Use the end of a match from a matchbook. Then if your trying to be perfect, you can wet sand with 2000 grit sand paper, then polish, then wax. But thats if your super anal.

exactly what i was going to post..you may want to use 1500 and then switch to 2000 to finish..2000 just takes to dang long to smooth out the built up touch up paint. Wet sanding is the bomb yo!

There's also plenty of tips in the Wash and Wax section. But I think the touch up paint is your best bet. ScratchX is okay for very minor scratches.

scratch x only works like any other polish, and that is to polish down the minor scratches in the clear coat...once you have pennatrated the clear, its a repaint or touch up....

if your really anal, its a repaint....

I find the pen tip, brush ,and tooth pick not work as well on touching up. You need to wet sand it to give it a flawless finish.

I only heard from other people on wetsanding method. I'm not good with wetsanding paint to a good finish. I only know how to prep for paint by wetsanding. You need others' advice from their experience.

I actually have few chips on my bumper and i was going to use the stock paint touch up. When i used factory paint touch up on my 02 TL-s few yrs ago, it came out really bad. The color didnt match the body paint. I was told that factory touch up paints are not supposed to match exactly to your actual car paint. So i was browsing online and came across this website where they show you how to repair paint chips and scratches. HEre is the link, http://www.langka.com/
Not sure if its effective. I'm a newb when it comes to wetsanding as well. I have no idea how to go about repairing using wetsand and touch up paint. I was told that there are other aftermarket touch up paint that will match your car paint.
