Yeah, that all sounds normal. We've had our share of those events. And just brushed the kid off and sent them on their way.
Kids are super resilient. Especially when they're really young and their bones are still soft. WagonJr was in a bounce house (which is already a "sparta" type environment; elbow to the face, etc) and was getting out. There were two inflatable steps leading out of the entrance and he was still in bounce mode, jumped from the top one onto the bottom one and bounced off onto the ground. Right onto his face and a I swear his feet came up and hit him in the back of the head.
Didn't even think about going to a doctor. Just pointed out how that wasn't the brightest idea and should probably not do that again.

I remember being about 3 or 4 years old... being chased by my brother's friend, on our bikes. I kept looking back at him and giggling.. well I didn't pay attention to the curve in the sidewalk up a head... front tire plowed into a tree a full speed, and my face went into the tree trunk
forehead was bleeding like crazy. I was crying. but I survived. And came out half ok.
Then there was the time my brother and I were playing "baseball" when I was 7. Aka it was after we moved into the new house my parents built and there was an extra stair banister laying around. So we were using it as a bat, hitting a tennis ball against the house. Well I got tired of watching and wanted to hit a few myself. Walked up to my brother, he didn't see me. He threw the ball in the air, swung, missed the ball, and clocked me right in the forehead above the eye. I ended up getting a huge goose egg that made it near impossible to even see out of my eye due to the swelling. My parents lost it. Ended up taking me to the doc. I got checked out and all was fine. Goose egg was gone after a couple days. I survived.
Kids are resilient. Even if damage did occur, the brain can regrow and reconnect itself, avoiding the damaged area altogether and you'd never know. It happens very easy for kids. Less likely, as you get older.

Well it was a sex change. She opted for what I would enjoy the most. You didn't have that option?
