I think for what they are, as far as a quick solution to cover up the torn seats, its great. However I do agree, looks a bit out of place if the rest of the interior doesn't have the same look as I said with the diamond plating pattern. I always say, just do it right and get seat replacement covers, but not everyone can justify spending the cost on a vehicle that is old. I was taken back by the cost of the covers. Then again, a professional shop would have charged double, if not more to do the entire interior the way I wanted.

Anyone have issues with Amazon shipping? I ordered a ton of gifts for family on November 25th and only 1/4th of my order came. I called them last night to get the shipping issue resolved. They bumped all my items to 1-2 day shipping. Apparently, they held the entire order over an HDMI cable.. They told me, its on back order. HDMI cables on back order??! I picked one up from a store last night. My marble coffee table set has also been delayed in shipping for the last 3 days. My wife's Christmas gift had shipped out of NJ to head out to CA back to NJ, just to go back to CA and is now on it's way back to NJ (where I live..). Puzzled on amazon's service, especially since I have a prime and fresh account. BTW, for those that haven't tried Amazon Fresh, it's worth it IMO.

Working conditions suck for the warehouse employees, as Jeff Bezos likes to crack that whip. so take that into consideration and if you wanted something before Christmas, do like normal ppl and plan ahead.

I mentioned this in the past. My wife and I were looked for 2012-13 ML63 Mercedes. We saw a few of them in person. Almost signed paper work on two of them we saw. One MB dealership didn't meet my number ($500 bucks less than their offer) and the other MB dealership replaced the brake pads but never did the rotors. As per MB requirement, if the rotors have waves, you must replace rotors and pads together. Going through most of these carfax reports, these things eat through brakes and tires approximately 12-20K. That's pretty insane if you think about the cost of tires and brakes, plus to replace them once a year. A few MB dealerships told us about the informant system (Command system) failing and costing over 7K to replace. Being a member of MBworld.org, I reached out to some ML63 owners and asked them real world cost and reliability. Most have been pretty flawless, while a few have suffered some problems. We sat down and thought of other options as well. The GLE400 is very nice, but hard to find with the options we like. The performance is OK, however companies like Renntech make re-calibrated ECU's, which provide better performance, still no 63 performance. My wife hates the GLE450 because it's a coupe / suv / wtf..? So I said ok, lets keep looking for other options. I personally have a thing for the 2014-15 Jeep SRT8 which is built on the same platform as the Mercedes ML. We went to go test drive a 2014 (white exterior on the orange interior) but the dealership wanted us to make a deal before test driving one. Not sure how that works out, since most test drive 1st and if they like the vehicle, sit down to make a deal. I test drove 9 ML63 without an issue. Its still an option, but would like to test drive it.

Recently Mercedes came out with a 43 AMG version in their line up. We once again, looked into another option. Mercedes just came out with the GLC43 AMG. It's smaller than what we want. We wanted the same size SUV as the GLE or Jeep grand Cherokee. Looking at the features and performance, its as fast as the SRT-8 Jeep. Also offered a re flash tune to crank out about 400 hp and 430 tq. Stock numbers are 0-60 in 4.7 seconds and 1/4 mile time in 13.1. With a re flash tune, it will run low 4's in 0-60 time. Other AMG features, Airmatic suspension and AMG brembo brakes. As of right now, the other 43 line up doesn't feature this. We will start looking again in 2017. I plan on going to test drive a GLC43 and seeing if it's big enough for us.

Generally speaking, the SRT-8 would be more reliable vs the ml63.

Always love your posts! Thanks for the input. I did consider the Marcan, I need to see one in person and test drive it. As for the SRT test driving issue, it's a common thing for Jeep dealerships not allowing test drives on the SRT line up. In fact, across the board with SRT anything. I did a google search after leaving the dealership to see if this is a common thing, google says so.. No idea why a dealership would have such an ass backwards policy, (other than having people come in for a joy ride) but I think it kills sales. If Mercedes allowed me to test drive an ML63, I don't see why Jeep had an issue. The one we saw, had smoked tires and I mean 1/32 smoked. It had the Carbon Fiber trim across the dashboard peeling off and some other issues I caught. These guys wanted me to make a deal on a rolling dumpster and were going to SELL the vehicle as is with unsafe tires..?? I was nice about it, my wife on the other hand, she laid into the sales manager along with the service manager and called corporate.
