...For what it's worth, he quoted me 200 for TB job + thermostat, all parts supplied by me obvs. I asked him if he could do spark plugs on top, he said 350 (which is quite a weird pricing scheme if you ask me, the spark plugs take an hour, they're just annoying in the back) but I agreed to that cause I need to get it done anyway.
You could have had the TB done for $200
And yeah I've been toying with the idea of just saying "fuck it" and keeping the thermostat there until later. It works just fine now, and I could probably wrench on my car for 1 hour somewhere in a Canadian Tire (think autozone) parking lot this summer to do it.
Edit: Removing spark plugs isn't necessary but it helps. So he prob would have done it anyway? I unno man, this shit weird.

Also.. never let your car overheat. It's downhill from there. Be proactive about maintenance on these items.

Officially bought in to Directv Now.. got the 100 channels for the low low - $35, plus Apple TV 4th gen free with prepay of 3 mos..
It sucked ass the first time I used it.. it kept freezing live stream, kept having to reload.. I know they're going to patch it..
