Reminds me when the girl at work told me her boyfriend smoked to help with his back pain. Then later when she was drunk she also admitted to sometimes smoking weed. HOLY MOLY! I was so surprised, she was a junkie! Offices man, they're crazy

It's sad when you can come home from work and crush a 2-6 of whiskey every night, get fucking bombed and destroy your liver, but as long as you show up to work the next day, even if looking like shit, and it's all good. Telling your coworkers you got mangled last night and you get high fives.
But you smoke a pinner in the privacy of your own home before bed and half of society treats you like a criminal. Because the government says it's illegal.

Neither do I well that's not true. There's a time and a place for everything.
i cant wait until my homeboy can grow again. His case is wrapping up through the system and if all goes well, they will give him all his growing equipment back that they seized and he will be permitted to grow, with likely only a 6 month curfew. What a fucking waste of tax dollars and time, going after someone who will ultimately be let go free. The system has almost zero interest in his case.

Provinces are doing it? So what the hell are the Feds doing? Last word I heard on CBC was it should be legal country wide by sometime in Spring 2017. I don't think it's been expressly discussed by the province here, but I don't remember them saying they opposed to it. Only Harper and the conservatives were all like "drugs are bad mmmmkay"

^ I think its going to take a lot longer than what ppl are saying. I dont get why Canada is being such pussies about it. We need to see the revenue value, jobs created etc as a good thing, I feel Canada is trying to be too moral about it. We should be leading the forefront on this but we are way behind. The USA is crushing us in that game. The US govt sees the revenue it creates and thats good enough for them, they dont care about anything other than money and in this case thats not a bad thing IMO

back when harper first came to power, his stance was "we have a good relationship with the US regarding banned substances, so we will never legalize, to keep true to everything"
few years later, the states started legalizing but that fucker's stance never changed
and again, it's weed. You can go on a severe "bender" and still be in better shape the next day than if you were drinking. But there's always that one guy who tries to set a record or something and dies, and everyone is like "SEE! That will start happening to everyone!!" Of course, this coming from people who've likely never even smoked before.
"but think of the children!" Yeah, and as a child, I was involved since 13 or 14 and never looked back. And somehow I finished school and hold a job and pay taxes and keep my lawn clean and... Show me how many over drugs are like that.

I want one of them lab jobs in the weed manufacturing facilities testing the purity, doing quality control on the strains for molds, bacteria etc

I wouldn't have expected the US to do it first, it's been pretty much ok to smoke publicly in QC as long as you don't blow it in someone's face and that for pretty much the last 20 years.

I agree Adam, basically same age i stared too. The other thing with weed is you can totally just drop it and quit anytime without having severe withdrawals. Ive quit 3 times now just because I felt like stopping for a little bit and had no effects what so ever other than having a mild headache for the first cpl days maybe.. Ppl make it seem so fucking bad for you. You can also just do it casually and not feel a reliance on it.
